ZanderZ
Then please explain to me why TGA isn't working properly for me All I see when I open the TGA in PhotoShop (CS2) is the gray-ish image, as if there is no alpha channel. When saving a PNG with alpha channel as TGA and re-opening it, the same happens. I've never worked with TXD Workshop before San Andreas, because I liked ViceTXD better.(Sorry Delfi ) But that too had the BMP error, I learned to live with it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2933036 Share on other sites

That's why TXD Workshop, ViceTXD, and also my TXD Builder all have the same problem (all coded in Delphi). JernejL
yeah actually txd workshop had png support for over a year but it never worked, so it is just turned off, i will try to turn it on (but then i WILL stop supporting bmps).. dertyjerzian
Delfi, I found a bug brotha. Well hopefully not. Maybe I did something wrong. I modded the effectsPC.txd file, changing the gunshell and gunshella alpha images which resulted in a crash at the trigger's pull. Did you know about this? Any reason you can think of? Gforce
im loving this latest release Delfi, but............why have you killed the templates feature? i use that a lot when i make new txd files, its useful for when you find a tex you want to use...you just add it to templates......but not any more. please put this feature back in Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2936732 Share on other sites
ZanderZ
Okay, I realise I was wrong before. I'm a n00b, take my karma away I figured the TGA alpha channel would be as in a PSD file, like a layer mask. I just figured out it's at Channels (hence the name alpha channel) I'll give TGA a try now Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2937099 Share on other sites
ZanderZ
*subtle kick* Anyone else experiencing a weird vehicle.txd when edited? I replaced platecharset, plateback3, plateback2 and plateback1, now when I reopen the file all the compressed DXT3 images look as if you opened a SA file in ViceTXD... It works fine ingame though, doesn't look corrupted at all Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2942635 Share on other sites
ZanderZ
Kicking again found a small bug: when opening an empty TXD file (airtrain.txd) I get the message "no images inside" which is fine. Then when I open an other TXD file I get an acces violation: "Access violation at address 00402FD8 in module 'txdworkshop.exe'. Read of address 616C755E" This happens with every TXD file I open until I close TXD Workshop and start it again. JernejL
the templates thingie got broken somehow with san andreas testing, so i will have to fix it somehow, i didn't think people really used it there is one major problem with the program that causes most of crashes since the first version, i just can't find the annoying bastard, i will ask for external help about it :S Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2951294 Share on other sites

ZanderZ
Hope you can find the problem. Any ideas on how to fix my first problem? Also, a tiny suggestion: when setting the mode to Alpha and going through a list of images inside a TXD, it would be nice if you could switch to Image mode when an image has no alpha channel. Something like this: click on Alpha: mode:=Alpha click on Image: mode:=Image if txd.image.alpha=TRUE AND mode=Alpha showimagealpha else showimage (Haven't worked with Delfi in a few months, can't even remember how stuff like this goes :| ) But anyway, I hope you get the point Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2956092 Share on other sites
szkgsxr1000
i've been trying without success to convert my txd file to san andreas with this editor.. once i put my txd in the img file it cause the garage to not open and no pcjs driving around.. is there more to converting then just change the box in the bottom right corner? Diablo SV
Good job of an editor, but what could've been better was to make an easier-to-use version, hence GTA: Vice City editors like ViceTXD. In there, you didn't need to seperatly export and import ..TXDs from other programs. Kagemusha
I have some problems with TXD Workshop, example: I can't open some TXD files (like Suzuki GSRX1000's pcj600.txd file, etc), i can't use Compress all images with all .txd files (like Ducati 996 Beta2, etc). DexX
knock that "stooge" sh*t off. ViceTXD doesn't work with sa IMG files, OR txds (except some of the player clothing and skins), so for the moment, TXD WorkShop is king for San Andreas. Even if both worked perfectly, it really comes down to a matter of personal taste and preference. .:Shady:.
Has anyone been able to use the TXD Workshop on the Xbox version? I read an earlier post about it that said that the images come out all scrambled up and after trying it out, I can confirm this. Is there any way around this problem? If so, it would really open up the possiblilities for the Xbox San Andreas modding community. JernejL
what a update, LOOK, IT CAN DO PNG!! TXD Workshop 3.7 build: 100705 always get latest and up-to-date copy of the program at http://www.gtatools.com what's new? version 3.7 + PNG import & export (including alpha channel but NO single-color transparency), i suggest using this rather than bmp or tga because pngs are not just smaller but also more stable, but beware that png I/O is also only supported for dxted and 32 bit images (just like tga I/O) + alpha mix view removed, a similar feature "mixed view" is now where you were switching between alpha and image viev + some fixes added to dff check feature (didn't repaint the lists after refresh) + new about box added + image templates work once again! + program now kinda works with xp themes, the vierdly painted toolbar isn't my fault. + some old readme sections fixed ( it isn't neccesary to use templates to add images to txds, you can do this easier way with image > new ) + some graphics on buttons etc were changed + fixed window startup positions (if you have multiple monitors you know what i mean - they were annoyingly opening in the middle of screen edges half on both screens) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/198766-rel-txd-workshop-ready-for-massive-san-andreas/page/2/#findComment-2981230 Share on other sites
