These controls are in the manual but...

As far as the dpad controls to talk, it doesn't seem to work all the time. Is there only certain times that CJ can talk to others? If I walk up to someone, even a green dude by CJ's house, left/right dpad doesn't do anything. Pressing them on the street has no affect either.

Also, I drive to the clothing store, but there is no door to go in and buy clothes - am I missing something?

Im assuming you lock onto the gang members before your pressing the button? If it still doesn't work, you need to pass a certain mission before this is unlocked anyway.

 

As for the cloths stores, they also need to be unlocked. If there is however a t-shirt icon on your radar, you can walk into that store. Simply walk into the door.
