_MoNoXiDe_
ok in the first part of handling.cfg where it describes the fields it goes, (A) - (V), then (a) - (g) then, (aa) - (aj). however then it states: ; For Boats: (some car handling variables are used for alternate functions in boats) ; ; (J) Bank Force Mult (K) Rudder Turn Force (L) Speed Steer Falloff ; ® Vertical Wave Hit Limit (S) Forward Wave Hit Brake (V) WaterResistance Volume Mult (W) Water Damping Mult ; (AB) Handbrake Drag Mult (AC) Sideslip Force what is (W) referring to. I also assume (AB) and (AC) are incorrect?
ThaKilla
As far as what the captions mean they are, Water Damping Mult: Amount of force displaced when the boat hits the water. (landing from jumping a wave) Handbrake Drag Mult: Thats is the amount of drag instead of the actual hand brake to use. Sideslip Force: The way the boat slides to the side when turning (I think) As far as if they values are right, i dont know.. i havn't unlucked a boat to use yet. (I could always steal a police boat)
BenMillard
I guess it would be referring to the values that were in GTAVC but which have moved to different positions in GTASA? I'll open the files in CFG Studio to see if I can compare how they have changed. ; GTAVC Standard Data:PREDATOR 2200.0 4.0 12.0 3.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 14 2.30 15.0 0.58 5 190.0 1.7 R P 0.05 0.01 0 24.0 1.0 3.0 0.2 0.33 40000 0.10 0.1 0.0 0.0 80004 0 1; GTASA Standard Data:PREDATOR 2200.0 29333.3 1.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 14 2.30 15.0 0.58 5 190.0 1.7 5.0 R P 0.05 0.01 0 24.0 1.0 3.0 0.0 0.10 0.1 0.0 0.0 0.2 0.33 40000 8000000 0 0 1 0 Letter GTAVC Header Equivalent GTASA Header Equivalent GTASA Letter J fTractionMultiplier fTractionMultiplier J K fTractionLoss fTractionLoss K L fTractionBias fTractionBias L S fSuspensionForceLevel fSuspensionForceLevel a W fSuspensionDampingLevel fSuspensionDampingLevel b aa SuspensionUpperLimit SuspensionUpperLimit d ac SuspensionBias SuspensionBias f (EDIT) This seems to provide compelling evidence that my theory is correct: 1600x270 - 100kB. The image shows parameters with the same name are matched up, even though the parameters are now in different columns. I don't have the game yet, so if someone could test this theory out for me it would be a great help.I'll have to updated my San Andreas handling guide when we find out what the story actually is. Well spotted Mono, I didn't realise that the comments were referring to parameters which didn't exist. Edited June 20, 2005 by Cerbera
