mikeswi
I know there's a lot of PC gamers who hate how you have to target with the RMB in San Andreas. I'm one of them. Well I just figured out that you don't have to use RMB to target before you can shoot up something. You can just aim the character with the mouse and he'll shoot anything in his direction of travel. Sort of the same as GTAIII and VC. It won't be as accurate and you won't see the crosshairs this way. Right-clicking makes the shooting more accurate but you don't *have* to use it. This is good for shooting drug dealers, since they'll start blasting if you target them.
Ephphatha
...I thought everyone knew this. I just prefer to have the crosshairs on anyway, like GTA3.
dertyjerzian
lol i've seen a lot of people cry about this. Manual aim is nothing new to GTAPC titles... If you play with it a bit, you'll get it down pat and become a 1500 polygon deadly killer. Plus, your weapon stats will raise faster. I am personally using a laptop which has it's own drawbacks, namely the fact that many of the buttons I use don't exist on my keyboard without another key being pressed. What it lacks, it does make up for in mouse work though. The touch pad is frikken awesome. This is my computer: dell i8600, Desktop Replacement Series: Cute little trick, isn't she? These are her specs: 1.4 GHz Intel Mobile Centrino inside 512mb DDR SDRAM (I'm beefing this to two gigs ) 333MHz 40Gb HD (Which really is only 38.5 ) NVidia GeForce Go5200 32MB Integrated (GTA is Beeeautiful) Sigmatel Stac AC '97 Sound Card DVD-RW 24X10X24 15.4 inch wide screen (I don't even think it's true but GTA looks frikken wild. Nicely scaled... Less... Flat) A quick google: Average user rating:6.2 Good (from 245 users) The good:Fast; comes with cutting-edge components, including the GeForce FX Go5650 GPU; has DVD+RW drive and built-in 802.11a or b/g antenna. The bad:Expensive. The bottom line:The Inspiron 8600 desktop replacement is one of the best and fastest notebooks on the block; it's great for business or personal use. heh. I love doing that. My video card runs too hot though.
nlitement
Can someone please tell me WHAT THE HELL is so bad about the right mouse aim? The character moves better instead of like I tried VC today and was used to SA Tommy ran like a retard IMO. And it is more realistic to AIM instead of "pointing" or "shooting random". It's just that the lack of clarity in each complaint that leads you to believe otherwise. Here, have a sandwich

Complaining about that thing like " wtf???+ it was the only reason i play gta games!" (I don't remember anyone saying that attitude but; who cares?). is non -sense. It won't affect the gameplay . imheretostay
I played VC and about every mod that came out for it, as well as GTAIII, and i must say, that i find the control system in SA to be way better.
MajorOutage
The only thing I don't like about SA's aiming is that the controls are not a constat across all guns. When using certain weapons, like the M4, MP5, shotgun, silenced pistol, etc, you strafe and step backwards when holding Aim. But with regular pistol, Uzi, and a few others, you still turn normally and when you hit back you turn around and run into the camera.
GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah you can just press shoot but what's the point when you've got no crossair to aim properly. I still prefer VC's aiming but SA's ain't that bad when you get use to it. Although I hate it when your trying to shoot someone and you need to move back you end up running into the camera with CJ shooting into the air intead of the target. im_santa
who can run and accurately shoot an M4 all at the same time? its not possible... also, you shouldnt wine about that, because you couldnt move while shooting with those guns in VC or GTAIII either.... im sick of all you people complaining, just play a few missions and you get used to it, and then you realize how much more easy it is to kill people..... phriedom
Like most of you probably, I found out I could shoot without aiming by accident. But the only thing I use if for is drug dealers. For some reason I enjoy confronting them first and telling them to get out of my neighborhood instead of just shooting them on sight. So I equip the dual-wielded sawn-offs and face them and let them make their offer. Then I hit the N replay and give them a moment before I shoot. And if you don't aim first, they don't have a chance to shoot back. 4 loads of buckshot is pretty indescriminate though so I accidently cut down a few bystanders before I started making sure I faced the DD with no one behind him. I guess it would be safer just to knife them from behind really, but I like the sound of the sawn-off. pow-pow pow-pow
NeXiLe
i'm sure evryone knew you could shoot like that. but it sucks!;o aiming is part of the game imo, not very realistic if you can lock on to a target like in ps2 and probably xbox plus it's very easy with the mouse i actually prefer it, easy to get headshots this way and shoot what you're actually trying to. Cojawfee
My only problem is when the game slows down a bit and the cross hair swings around when you try to aim at someone. I also hate how when you move the mouse it skips several pixels over so you can't shoot at things very far away with the sniper very easily. Mind explaining *how* it's easier to have to push an extra button to do something that's used to be done with just one button? And if you're sick of reading about it, why did you read this one and then reply to it? There's no requirement that you read or reply to a topic that doesn't interest you.
