After sifting through them I can only hope a patch is released that will boost the performance. I see know reason why a machine with specs like mine can't maintain a fluid framerate of 60 or more.. The manual is hardly any help: It mentions that turning the frame limiter off is 'not recommended'. How anyone can play ANY pc game at 25fps is beyond me.. lol.. Anyway I guess the point of my thread is to merely throw another list of specs into the mix and hope for a solution - I mean after forking out 90 bucks for the game I'm hardly going to be patient and wait for a patch now am I.. ---System specs--- Intel P4 3.2 1G Corsair 3200XL Pro ATI Radeon X800XT Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro Catalyst v5.6 --Game Options-- 1024x768x32 View distance - Max Detail - Very High Frame Limiter - OFF Running around/driving at the beginning of the game results in 40-50fps. Lowering resolution, view distance, detail etc. makes no real difference. (I actuallly get more frames in 1024 as opposed to 800!) I never had the 'advanced settings' crash problem, and I've tried all the changes in these configs myself.. by turning off mipmapping and setting the detail to low I can get 50-60fps.. which is still ridiculous.. There HAS to be a patch released.. I mean some of these issues are quite strange indeed: * The higher the resolution, the higher the framerate!? wtf.. * The 1st game in history where enabling anti-alias doesn't reduce performance.. hmm.. * Having to use low detail on an X800XT 256?
