Invalid pixel format

Like a lot of others gta sa constantely gives me blue screens and restarts. I tried a lot of things to fix this. New drivers for chipset audio video etc. I turned off the hardware acceleration of my soundcard but nothing changed. So i looked in my computer logs and found out that every time sa crashes windows logs an error from ati2mtag.The decription of the error is: Invalid pixel format. So i installed older drivers (5.5 instead of 5.6) and at the moment i have omega drivers installed wich are based on version 5.4. I still get the same errors. Do other people with ati cards have the same problem. I tried to disable some features in the omega drivers but i still haven't found the source of the problem.

 

You can get to your logs like this on a dutch computer. Configuratie Scherm> Computer beheer> logboeken> systeem

I had also problems with catalyst 5.6. Now i'm using Cat 5.4 and have no problem at all (yesterday i've played whole day ). Try to delete your gta sa config file - let the game make it again, after the drivers change.
