The only gold medal in all the driving schools I can't seem to get in the one for the stupid basic seamanship. I have tried a million times and can't get better than 9.71 secs, which is only a silver. Is there any special trick to it? All I do is hold down accelerate, then switch to holding down decelerate at around 6 seconds (actually I've found I get the best times if I switch at about 6.3 secs). This is the PC version if that matters. [Edit]Just tried it for the million-and-oneth try, and I somehow managed to get 9.70 seconds but it's still not enough for gold!! Argggg [Edit #2]Sigh... So I just realized you stop faster if you hold decelerate AND the handbreak at the same time. I just got the medal. Delete this thread if you want or leave it for others to learn from.
