The low-rider mission

Its one of the Sweet's missions after "Sweet's Girl" early in a game where you have "hip-up" in a low rider or whatever. How do I pass it? I was told to press the appropriate button when the arrow is in the middle of a circle but that doesn't work...so what do I do?

Ah yeah, this took me a while too...

Okay.

So you are supposed to push the according hydrhaulic button right when it gets to the circle, when you press it, the direction (those arrow things) must be in the circle.. If you do it right, the circle should change its shade for a second... the whiter it is, the better...

Your lowrider (equiped with hydralics) can jump striaght up using the number 2 key on the upper row of number keys (not the keypad), or can be made to jump in directions with the keypad.

By default, the keys are on the numberpad on a pc keyboard. The 8 (also arrow up), the 2 (arrow down), 4 (arrow left) and 6 (arrow right). Unless you have remapped those keys for some reason, that is.

Yeah I'm stuck right there too but it's just hard if you suck at things like this

Ok this mission was the biggest pain for a bit till I realized I had switched the vertical axis for my dual analog controller so my right control stick (for hydraulics and manual aiming a weapon) would move up when I pressed up instead of reverse (before when I would press up on the analog stick the reticle would aim down ) ... there in was my problem ... I reversed the vertical axis of the stick but the game doesnt account for this when it gives u the commands for the low rider bounce mission ... so now I just press up when the down button was on the screen and vice versa ... u don't have to have perfect timing to get past this mission once u got the controls moving the right way (NOTE: saw the commercials for the console version ... pretty obvious this PC version is far superior ... the graphics on the commercial were pathetic)

Just try your best, you don't even have to get any in a row. You just get points for the ones you get right. Seriously I got WAY above the minimum score on the first try. This mission is NOT hard.

This was the second easiest of the DDR-style minigames for me; 'Beach Party' being the easiest so far due to the (?possibly) less graphics intensive scene. I totally suck in the nightclub in Los Santos because of game/control lag.

Don't sweat having the arrow in a particular spot in the circle... hit the keys in time with the beat of the music. Same for dancing in the clubs.

I have had such a problem with this mission that I actually got mad and uninstalled the game.

I have since reinstalled but I still cannot get through this mission, I'd think my keyboard is too touchy, no matter what I do, it says I'm either too late or too early even when I hit that arrow right the middle of the circle. If someone would send me a save game with this mission done that would be great. Or someone should make a mod that skips the stupid thing and goes on to the next mission.

It took me a lotta tries.

It's pretty finnicky - you've really gotta press the key just as the icon passes into the circle so that you release when it is dead center - as teevee said - it's in time with the music.

I never got it right in 5 or more tries - usually 1000 - 1200 points, but when I worked it out I got 4000... Now I can go to the dance club (a great place to practice, BTW) I can get 5000+ which helps in sacking denise, but that's all I think...

And the numkey pad was mapped to the "special" controls for driving but NOT for on foot, so I had to remap them to get the dancing right. For Cesar Villipando you should just need numlock on, and try to get with the swing of it...
