Does the Vigilante Glitch work in the PC version

Can anyone confirm if the Vigiliante glitch, where entering a store during the Vigilante missions causing the targets to be eliminated, exists in the PC version?

This has been asked numerous times, and I believe this concensus is that this glitch doesn't work in the PC version. (One guy claimed he did it in SF and quit at Level 29 out of boredom, but I am skeptical.)

 

Besides, you should just wait until you get to the desert where you can steal a Rhino. Doing the mission in a Rhino is very easy and very fun.

i can get up to maybe level 5 or 6, and it just stops working.... i don't even know the concept behind this of why it works or else we could try to figure out a way to make it work, and figure out why it works on ps2 but barely on the pc.

I don't know if this qualifies as a spoiler since every game map and faq on the interest tells you where the Rhino is--and also, a bit of common sense will tell you, too --but I guess I'll play it safe. You get access to the Rhino as soon as you can leave SF. It's in Area 69, i.e. that "No Fly Zone" army base on the map.
