Hyper-Dood
I have just bought the game today and my system specs are fine... I have a radeon 9600Xt ( 256mb) graphics card. I have installed the game. Then when i try to load it up the game kinda loads but before getting to the intor screen, it closes and goes back to my windows desktop with no trace of it being opened. I have tried re-intsalling, downloading up to date graphics drivers but nothing works, I really don't know what is happening. Pls help! Thanks Darren
ricoh
ok.... I'm not sure where this problem stems from but it pissed me off as well. But..I have the cure methinks. 1stly you need administrative rights on the comp you're trying to play SA on. For some reason it wont work when trying to play as an admin. so.. you have to play the game as a user. You may have to create a new user. -->control panel--->users and passwords--->add user. Go to the gta exe hold down shift and right click on it. Run as.... whoever your user is. This should do the trick. sweet
nlitement
I have a Radeon 9200 256mb. When I tried the game first time the peds had flashing textures. It was all ATI' sh*tty drivers' fault. When I updated the driver and tried a couple of others same problem happened to me and/or the exec. wouldn't react at all when executing it. I downgraded to 4.9 now everything works fine . lafra002
Where did you download the 4.9 drivers? I hate the ATI-site, or maybe I'm just a noob
AceBestache
I have a Radeon 9200 SE. When I downloaded and installed Catalyst 4.9, I can't play GTA:SA at all! It just shows the black screen and crashes to desktop . Can someone help with this? I've tried to erase gta_sa.set (as someone suggested) if it's the one in My Documents, but nothing. Pico21
Hi! I've got the same problem with Radeon 9200, I downloaded 4.9, but it still sh*t. BUT... Try that change the compatibility to Win2000. In the menu the cursor moving slow, and after the second saves i have to quit, cause the mouse doesn't works. But if i restart the game it works again until the second save, or 15-20 minutes. Good luck.

Hyper-Dood
YES RICOH!!! Ur right! It actually does work! Well done mate! Cheers Darren
lafra002
When I try to do it at Ricoh's way, the game instantly gives an error report even before I get the intro's... Edit: And when I log in as the 'second' user the game starts but flashes back to desktop as before. WHAT IN THE WORLD would solve this problem *cries* Edited June 21, 2005 by lafra002
