fetus_pie Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 i just went through the first island with a map, exclusively trying to get 100 out of 100 tags sprayed. I printed out a map of 100 tags and hilighted them as i went. when i finished it said i had only tagged 98. before i go back and double check i want to know if anyone else has had this problem. i really cant think of any reason why i might have missed a tag. and yes i counted all the tags on the map i printed and there are 100. ThePerfectCore Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 When you go to spray a tag, two things should happen - the tag will get painted over, AND you will also hear the "boink!" noise that game makes. If one of these two things doesn't happen, then the tag doesn't count. What probably happened is you painted over the tag and the game said "XX tags out of 100", but you didn't get the "boink!" noise, so it didn't count. I had the same problem and was quite pissed to figure this out. Fortunately it was discovered early in the game so I just started over. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks. Hope you don't mind if I answer that one. Here is a map courtesy of dark52 at GameFAQs. If you ever need any other maps, guides, FAQs, ect. the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas section of GameFAQs is a good place to go. And when your there, the one that I recommended is titled Tag Locations Map (PS2) (PNG) under In-Depth FAQs. If you don't mind starting over, you can download my save file. I made one right after my 100th tag. I had 99 of 100 and knew I had found them all (very helpful maps posted in this forum), so there was some glitch, I guess. I did not start tagging much until I had pissed off a lot of the gangs, so I was constantly getting shot at. Probably why one of my tags did not work. Anyway, I loaded up your save game and now everything is fine. It is great to have that out of the way and some fine straps in my home just waiting for me at the end of a long day...
