Guitar Vercetti Posted June 20, 2005 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I tried modding the train handling too, but didn't go as far as trying to not derail it or anything. If I'm not mistaken, the train appears as "AIRTRAIN" in the handling.dat file, and I did change the acceleration and top speed, which I think delayed the effect of derailing, i.e now that the train can go faster, the derailing speed limit has been raised as well. this is not 100% tested, just my impression of it, as I didn't spend much time studying this issue, but I hope this helps... DexX Posted June 21, 2005 Share Posted June 21, 2005 airtrain isnt the actual train. it also has no IDE enry, so i dont think its even used by the game anymore, probably left over from vice and gta3. tram, is the trolley in SF if im not mistaken. freight and streak, i think are the trains in LS, with freiflat, streakc and freibox being the flatbed cars inbetween the engine. hmm, just noticed something; no caboose Check your vehicles.ide, for a listing of what cars are in the game, and what class they are, then compare it to the handling.cfg to make sure your editing the right vehicle Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
