WhiteX
Here we go, but first things first and here comes the specs: AMD athlon xp 2200+ (OC´ed to 2000Mhz) 768 MB GeF fx 5200 256 MB (Core at 290 Mhz and mem at 430 Mhz) Onboard Cmedia sound (Craptastic) 40 GB 7200 rpm HD Well at first i got: - Very bad FPS - Extremely aliased screen - Black road problem - Audio out of synch. For the black road i got Rivatuner (google guru 3d for this) and at mipmap LOD bias( under driver setting, directx tab) set it to -3. BUSTED! For the audio out of synch i slided down the directx acceleration to basic. BUSTED! For the Very aliased screen, and the bad FPS, some measures were taken: First, dloaded the latest nvidia driver, second, set the resolution to 1024x768x16 with frame limiter off (no alias and more speed) Now, third and the most crazy thing ever, have you ever noticed that the game lags a bit more at you user track radio station, no, well i have, and then decided to know why, well it seem that windows compresses files that are somewhat old and that gave me one hell of a lag every time i switched to my radio station on when changing songs, here is what i did, go to the folder where your files are (your MP3´s) and right click it then go to properties then advanced, there will be a mark box where compress files to save space or something like that goes, click it and go out, a bar will grow and all the files inside will turn blue, do it again but unclick it, the bar will grow once again but they will all turn black and there you go. BUSTED! Now my game runs smoth, m resolution is high and i am happy with my purchase!

You´re right, it is a shame that we have to customize our rigs to run a single game, my performance on doom 3 is craptastic now i am only playing GTA now cause every little thing must be configured to play any other game. it is ridiculous
