Jigsaw
Hi, i'm new here... ...and to start on the right foot, i make my entrance by helping you : You actually can get a Pilot License without attending Flight School. All you have to do is to enhance your flying skill until you've reached a certain level (just like you improve your gunning skill by shooting). Of course, in order to do that you have to get your hands on a plane. There are two ways to do that: 1. Los Santos: grab yourself a tall car (van, car transporter and the like), park it near the fence at the entrance to the airfield (it's facing north, and located near the truck park which can be found close to the train station) and climb over it. You'll find a little Dodo and some sort of Lear Jet that you can use. 2. San Fierro: Get yourself a fast car and drive it to the elevated country road south of the airfield. If you use the hillside as a means to accelerate your car, and the ridge on the other side of the road as ramp, you can jump over the water and land near a hangar on the premises of the San Fierro Airport. But if i recall correctly, most of the planes and all of the helicopters in San Fierro are locked until you have finished flight school. Could be an unlocked Dodo in one of the hangars. Anyway, the planes in Los Santos are definately unlocked and you can use them for sure. Now... all you have to do is fly those things until your flying skill is high enough and GTA tells you that you now have a Pilot License and full access to all the airports. It takes about 25-30 minutes (real time, not ingame time) total flight time to get that skill. Yes "total"... you don't have to stay in the air for that long. Your individual flight times just have to add up to that number. Check the Stats to see when you are about to get there. Hope that helped.
dj4aces
You can also get your "pilot's license" by taking a flight from Las Venturas to either San Fierro or Los Santos. You will receive the prompt mentioned above about having acquired it. And all the planes will be open for your use. But I'm not sure at what lengths you have to use those planes to avoid completely the flight school. (Any help on THAT would be great, as circling the airstrip has me stumped) ((Also, I think this is in the wrong forum))
