Can't load mission

I bought the game 4 days ago and played it perfectly since, today however the game all of a suddon has these problems:

- carradio's don't work anymore, you just hear the shuffle radio stations sound

but my real gripe is:

- mission don't load!!

I currently have three missions: cesar vialpando, big smoke's gangsta friend who's been someones jail dog and one by Ryder. When I enter the red circle you get the name and the cutscene, all I get is the name. No sound, no cutscene, justt a locked black screen with the name of the mission. I can't get out of it, can't skip it and can't go back to windows without rebooting ofcourse.

It's both the regular exe and the no-cd patch version that has it.

Is it the hot weather or what?

im having the same exact problem,with the same version.i think it has something to do with having some cheats activated and doing missions at a certain time.its just a gess.but ive been having some luck with killing myself and then going to the mission.i was wondering if someone else was having this probblem

Same problem here... I am like on third of fourth mission of the game... 'Taggin up Turf'.... and it shows the name of the mission and just before the animation is about to play, the game quits to desktop. I have tried almost evey available fix and tweak but it doesn't seem to be helping. I tried no-cd cracks as well... still nothing for me. You guys try the no-dvd crack? see if it works that way.

Anyone have any solutions?

Hey... you think you guys can post your save game files. It seems you are ahead of me in the gameplay and I just want to test if my game crashes to desktop if I try to walk into the marker for some other missions. Right now, I have only one mission available to me and it crashes the game. I wanna see if it does the same with other missions beyond this one.

ok ive been looking through this cause its almost constant.

I don't use cheats or any mods so its not that, my hunch it's a bug with the weapons you have or other things.

I got my way round it by doing the following with success in not crashing the game...

 

1) load game

2) jump in or on a vehicle and check if you can hear the radio, if not then you have the "currupted" save game

3) you either then a) save again (sometimes fails by locking up the game completely) b) get arrested or killed c) enter a normal store and exit it

Just don't do missions cause they will lock up, even mission ends lock up if you have the luck to go passed the first cutscene (happened to me with the pine falls mission to photograph the guy whos protected by feds)

 

It's a great game but i hope a patch comes soon, a patch that also solved the issues i have with the dance and lowrider meet mission (two fast moves after eachother are impossible on the keyboard, if anyone happens to know buttons that can be used right after eachother then please tell me QSZD and <V^> don't)
