Transparent weapon texture, and hud texture

Well I finally figured out how to mod. So as I did last time with VC, I rushed as quickly as I could to change the unrealistic Silver MP5 to it's realistic black color.

So I export the TXD with ultimate editor, change the weapons BMP, and re add it to txd, and import back into gta3img.

 

When I go ingame, the hud texture and weapon model have dissappeard, the Muzzle flash is still there however.

 

 

What have I done wrong?

 

 

Thing is though, Now I also have TWO mp5lng.txd files, I tried to delete one and it wouldn't go away, so I tried to replace it, now I have three. The IMG file software can't delete txds....Great.

try too export the texture as tga might work

Nope still don't work typically enough, thing is though. Why is it affecting the hud picture, I've only changed the weapon texture. I've even replaced the THREE mp5lng txds with the new tga one, and it's still invisible. I don't think three mp5lng.txds is too healthy either

i think spookys img tool can delete files in the gta3.img, at least version 1 could.

 

ive experienced this problem with vice before,

then my problem was that the names in my txd, didnt match up with the names the dff was looking for so the model was either transperant of just plain white.

 

or you could be having some kind of problem with the alpha texture that could possibly make the gun transperant.

 

dont know about the hud,

im having problem with the fonts myself...

I used iRipper to delete the Extra txds. But I still can't work around the transparency...

im having the same problem. im trying to change the colt45 and i've tried quite a few things. it still comes up completely transparent
