tommygun1
Obviously go through the check list, have you got the latest video/sound card drivers and dx9 something. Even check to make sure you have the latest updates from Microsoft. thats fixed my problems before with some games (including gta3) edit: don't worry, your computer doesn't suck, i'm running the game on a 1800+ with a geforce 5600 and it runs pretty good. dj4aces
I would try what Googlsta said - update your device drivers. Also, update your motherboard chipset drivers, while you're at it. VIA Chipset: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 (Select your operating system in the first list, and "Chipset/Platform Driver" in the second list.) nForce Chipset: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp (Select "Platform/nForce" in the first list, "Unified Driver" in the second list, and your operating system in the third list.) I would also double-check and make sure you've got the latest version of DirectX installed. If you do not have DirectX 9.0C installed, fear not - it's on the GTA:SA DVD in the \DirectX directory. Running this might be a good idea anyway, in case anything is corrupt. Just insert your SA DVD. If you have Autorun enabled (A menu screen will pop-up), just click on "Install DirectX 9.0C". If not, do the following: Click "Start" Click "Run" Type "x:\DirectX\dxsetup.exe" with X being the drive letter cooresponding to your DVD drive (Mine, for example, is G).
