alijan
ARGH! Yah I am on this mission too, and lol, i was actually just about to ask for help too! This mission is stupid... I mean Zero is the 'geek', so why is he making CJ control the damn plane??!
BG890
for those who have done this one on PC... they pros
DigitalDragon
huh? pros? that mission was jack easy. (PC user) I finished it in two tries. The first try i died because i got stuck in some underground place and couldnt get out without hitting the walls, so i self-destructed. The second time i just went normally, and finished easily with time to spare. The trick is to use keyboard control instead of the mouse. check at the top of this page and you'll see a small, non-descript list saying "guides and walkthroughs". Click on "supply lines". Thats an in-depth guide to that mission.
Erniesan
Yea I screwed up badly the first time, but then I got the hand of it the second and finished it with a few MM of the bar left.
Vanillainy
...... Yes it is hard but just practice with other planes and keep trying that mission you will get used to the controls and pss it. ..........
Alxwin
It surely was a very difficult mission, took me a whole lot of times to finish it. But eventually I made it. Just use the keyboard and keep practising a lot.
topcatdk
Got through it the first time, no sweat at all. But perhaps I was lucky with the locations of the vans, I spent most of the mission on the ground though, might have saved me some fuel. Flying with mouse is not cool, especially since the mouse is worth gold to move the camera so you can see where you are going.
jools1980
Don't use the f*****g mouse. Stick to keyboard controls when flying. Mouse ain't much responsive, and it's way too clumsy. Also, you need to keep it strafing left or right to continuously bank, while you only need to hold a key down with the keyboard. About the mission (definitively not one of the hardest, IMO), just keep cool. Take your time. Don't panic. Get behind your targets, slow down, get low, FIRE! But, again, keep cool. Stay focused, don't mess around (well, try not to, at least). I passed on my 4th attempt or so, and with still lots of messing around (ie: crap manoeuvers, wrong directions, futile chases) and with 1 pixel left in the fuel bar. Kill bmx and sanchez courier first, beacuse they're gonna give trouble. If you're low on fuel, don't keep the W button down, but use it in 'strokes'. eg: one sec down and one released alternatively... Note that some kind of autoaim is available, so you don't need to be perfectly centered on the target to hit it. Last tip: if you really can't do it, spend a few attempts just flying the thing around the city, dodging buildings, hitting any other target, so to get used to the controls. -good luck-
Ralph7
when i did it i didnt fly the plane, i just drove it along the ground(PC) i found it much easier than flying the bloody thing. only time i needed to fly was to get back up onto the building
nlitement
I beat all the missions on my first try. Hell I'm good. I thought I'd have problems with the RC vehicles (mouse + kb).
Sky Hunter
Mission isnt hard if you do it properly. I done it like this: Take off, and take a turn down to get onto guy in BMX bike. Shoot him off the bike and your done. Now proceed for the van that moving almost near you, you can land and try to purshue him on ground while blasting him with bullets. Then get onto the second van that wants escape to country side highway(youll run into fuel probs if he will), just predict his route on next turn and land just in front of him blasting him up. Now take off and get straight to Sanchez bike guy. Same as BMX guy, shoot him off the bike. Dont bother playing pro with all the diving and other plane stuff. Align in front of him, fly and blast everything in front. Then get finish last van just by landing on his next turn and blast him up. Get back to the roof and land. I done all this from 5th try with 50% fuel left.
Bowman
I also found that mission really hard... but it's nothing compared to the later flight school missions... damn those suck i would even say that all the flying in the game really sucks.... oli_86
yeah the flight school was insane, i did one of the "missions" for more than 1 hour! but the RC challenge was pretty easy, it makes it a lot easier if you land when you are near the vehicles that you are supposed to kill, then just drive around and shoot, makes it hell lot easier to aim and hit them! good luck u will eventually make it
ttboo
I find the flying missions pretty hard on the keyboard - not impossible, but unintuitive and annoying. So I use a gamepad. Bought it for Vice City - makes flying a joy! If you really can't do it using the keyboard, get a gamepad - it makes this mission a breeze! EntropicLqd
The flying missions generally are pretty horrible on the PC. It took me about 5 attempts to do the RC-plane one (although I managed the rest on the first go). The 3rd and 4th time on the plane mission I'd got all the targets and ran out of fuel on the way back. Damn those planes are twitchy. I tried flying with the mouse but found it even less responsive than flying with the keyboard. In fact I would go so far as to say that flying in GTA-San Andreas is harder than flying in any flight simulator I've ever played. And those flight school missions .. oh man. I did them all ..... eventually. The helicopter ones weren't too bad. It was the circling ones that did my head in.
Killer_Waffle
there's one trick i used on supply lines, which made the whole thing less stress free...like it's said in the walkthrough, fly above buildings when possible...but another major point is that you dont to give full throttle the whole time, the more you give full throttle, the faster your fuel goes...so let the plane float a little, it'll stay up in the air
DWatch
You can try using a gamepad that has an analog stick on it. I have a logitech wingman, has a little analog joystick on it, I use that for all flying missions, then switch back to keyboard/mouse for driving/boat/foot activity. I don't know why your gamepad isn't recognized by GTA-SA, maybe you need to either disable the software that came with it, or set up the controlls in GTA-SA to use it. I have my controlls set to 'keyboard+mouse' and NOT joystick, yet it still recognizes it and uses it. It just allows me to use the keyboard and mouse too. If I select 'joystic' in the controller setup, I can still controll the vehicles with the keyboard, but cannot look around with the mouse. Some gamepads come with software to remap the butons/sticks/directional pads to imitate keyboard presses, and the game doesn't see any analog devices. My wingman came with software that does this, so I just don't load it, since GTA-SA recognizes the controller without using the software. One other suggestion, no matter what controller you use, next time you try that mission, ignore the delivery guys, and just fly around. The stress of catching a guy and getting lined up for a shot might be causing you to 'over fly' the plane, causing wild swings in direction. Just spend a mission or two doing nothing but flying around, getting used to the handling. When you get better at it, try flying through parks and between buildings, until you can get around a city block at street level, dodging cars. Once you get that good, the mission is a snap. dertyjerzian
I cannot even pass the mission where you battle hydro cars with your sister's man or the mission where OG Loc sends you to dance with this damn keyboard. WTF??? nothing gangsta about either of those missions... one is white girl as hell (dancing) and the other is poser whitey(hydro bounce)
Killer_Waffle
those are pretty easy, just time it right when you gotta hit the directional keys ignore all the rest on screen & just focus on the arrows & the circle
pixelrage
I give up with this mission, I almost had a freaking heart attack from being so angry...it's almost as bad as driving school, which is f***ing impossible. do you HAVE to finish this mission? Or is it just a side quest?
Tellian Gun
This mission is super-duper easy. This mission doesn't have a high priority in the line of events. Skip it until you reach Las Venturas and learn the flying school. After the flying school you should be able to drive the RC plane MUCH better! just press V and change the views that fit you most. just land on the street behind the courriers and shoot the machinegun. I done it and I've only consumed only 50% of the fuel.
