GTA3Freak-2001
There isn't a CD version and you should be able to run the game fairly well but its really hard to say given the problems some people are getting.

dj4aces
The 5200 is an okay card, but I would turn down some of the eye candy, if I were you, to get a little better performance. Otherwise, it sounds like you're good to go. Keep in mind, every system acts and performs differently. Also, for the record, are you running the x64 version of XP, or the the 32-bit version (Home or Pro)?
xmas
Unlike others, I think the 5200 is a weak, crappy cheapo graphics card. I wouldn't expect too much if I were you. But that's just my opinion.
IcyStorm
Ehh, 5200 isn't great. I'm running it with High visual fx quality and a 1024 x 768 - 32bit resolution with MipMapping on and draw distance at default and anti-aliasing turned off (with the frame limiter off). Runs nicely, but I'd rather have it some AA on -.-
GTA3Freak-2001
It's weak but still decent for its low class status.

dj4aces
The FX5200 card incorporates some technology that just wasn't available in the GF4 series of cards. This makes it an okay card in my book, despite performing nearly as well as the Ti series. The 5200 wasn't meant to be a powerhouse of a card when it was released, as it's really only a few steps above the MX 4000 card, which is nVidia's newest low-end offering (and pretty craptacular, seeing as how my Ti4200 has a higher clock speed than most of those offered). For quality gaming, I'd scrape your pennies together, and get you a card you can use for a few years. I recently got a new job, and my first order of business is likely to be computer upgrades. My system is as follows: AMD64 3200+ Newcastle (2202MHz) K8V SE Deluxe Motherboard (800MHz FSB) Windows XP Professional 512MB PC3200 RAM Ti4200 128MB DX9 The small amount of RAM, and the older video card, hurts my performance in the game. A lot of times, people blame the game for what's wrong, and say things like "Well, Doom3 played well!" Well folks, this certainly isn't Doom3 (Hell, I played Doom3 on the highest settings and managed to get 70fps). As a matter of fact, the full install is nearly twice the size of a full Doom3 (without expansion) install. This game is also newer. There's a lot more going on in this game than Doom3 could ever hope for. You need a fantastic system if you want to take full advantage of San Andreas, or any other upcoming games really. Nirvana91
70 fps in doom3 with a gf4 ti??!?! how´s that possible??
dj4aces
Good question. I've been told that the Doom 3 game engine detected video card settings, and automatically optimised the game for said video card. But seriously, I got anywhere from 40 to 70 fps in Doom 3. It just depends on where I was, what I was doing, and what was going on in-game. Whether or not what I was told is true, is a completely different story. And honestly, I'm not much of an FPS player anymore, so I don't really care either way.
