EricT
I opened my stream.ini file in SA folder and there were a few things - nothing much except for this: vehicles 12 Figured it could be the number that can be on screen in the same time. Changed it to 30 and went to highway around Las Venturas. There were definetly more cars as they created massive crashes (counted 25 or something). Of course that was a big ! So I tried changing the number to 500 . And I went to the same place but no result. Sure the pile of cars got bigger and bigger but some cars drove away before others arrived. Also I noticed that when your driving around in high speeds there still are 0 - 10 cars on screen. So how could you make cars more frequent? So that there would be traffic jams in Los Santos and stuff like that?
Jordan
The main reason that the cars aren't so "frequent" is because you wouldn't be able to get where you wanted without hitting all of the cars and getting pissed off, and to Rockstar, a pissed off consumer is a bad thing. SubConscious
maybe when someone has found a way to change the distance you can see them at then it will have an effect. if there are 12 cars between LS and LV then the roads are going to be pretty deserted
dragonGOD
Yeah just don't set the number too high, I put mine at over 1000 and the game locked up hardcore.
EricT
so you'd just have to make draw distance longer and car count higher for traffic jams and relly big pile-ups of cars
