nodronald
well go read all the twenty topics of the same title then. im not helping anyone who is dumb anymore. but nothing works i did everything! - Reinstalled the game - Updated my sound card drivers (3 times with different versions) as well as installing the complete package (which includes the control panel and additional software) - Updated my graphics card drivers (Nvidia Version: 71.89)- Turned VPU recovering on in my graphics card settings - Checked to see if my BIOS was the latest version (it is) - Tried the offical EXE that came with the game and 2 other EXE's (to run the game without the need of the DVD) - Turned off my CD and DVD drive - Closed down my virtual drives - Changed the compatibility mode of the EXE to windows 98, 2000 and XP - Lowered sound acceleration - Checked PC temperatures (these are fine) - Replaced EAX.dll with an older verson - Updated DirectX 9.0c to a newer 9.0c - Ran a virus, spyware, trojan scan - Went to windows update and got the latest updates - Uninstalled Service Pack 2 and went back to 1 (did nothing)
Overture
Have you tried down-grading direct-x to 9.0B? The method is in the audio fixes link in my signature. Also, you haven't removed any codec packs you might have installed, such as nimo, or gordonknot etc. Plus stuff running in background like windowsblinds or adware, quicktime task, winamp agent, even some virus scanners are messing. Your problem likely isn't with drivers but a conflict with something else on your system. dertyjerzian - with no search in this forum, I can't blame nodronald for not looking. Still, you should have, you bastard. There are many people who have had the same problem within the first 4 pages of this forum. Stay happy people, we are here to help after all..
