Anyone Sorted out the Num 5 Key

This is getting on my tits now

 

I like to use

 

Num 8 Accelerate

Num 5 Reverse/Brake

Num 2 Handbrake

 

But i can not use Num 5 -

 

it is so stupid to allow this bug to happen

 

please please tell me i can get around this problem, cause Driving school is doing my head in

and so is special missions where i know i can drive, but i still can not adapt to other controls, even after 29 hours of play
