noodles
Yeah, most of the people on this forum watch it. I'm surprised no one's made an official topic for this season. There have been some really hilarious moments this season. The first episode was hilarious from beginning to end with the G.I Joe reference and the old pedophile guy. Last weeks episode with Quagmire sleeping with Loretta was hilarious too.
CSeanathan
Well atleast somebody's got taste. Hell yeah, I haven't seen none of the new season. I guess it aint hit here yet. American Dad is pretty funny too.
King Kapone
Family Guy is absolutely hilarious. The only cartoon that has ever made me feel as if I was having a heart attack. American Dad, though.. American Dad isn't so great. Most of it has already been done in Family Guy.
Forty
Family Guy is the funniest show on TV. It beats out the Simpsons. I don't care what any Simpsons fanboys have to say, that show is not funny anymore and Family Guy has stripped it of its crown. I hope they keep making it for years to come. That's what I've been saying for ages now. The Simpsons aren't funny at all. Family Guy kicks the sh*t out of any cartoon except for Futurama. It just elbows it in the ovary a little. Nate Baker1
Yeah trouble with simpsosn is that the jokes are jsut the same every episode. They need to devlop new material. But yeah Family Guy is big right now.
papanesta
Peter: Brian, my Alphabits are trying to send me messages. Brian: What are they saying? Peter: Ooooooooooooooooooooo. Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios. Family Guy has possibly made me laugh more than anything else. With genious such as Peter driving the car and saying "I'm putting my foot down." slamming on the break. Brian then flies from the back of the car and smashes straight into the dashboard. I was in hysterics.

Ollie? Ollie: It gonn' rain! Tom Tucker: Thanks, Ollie. Can't wait for Season 4 tbh.

Asmodeus
Man, Family Guy rules. My favourite ever show. I'm watching it right now, the episode where they all go to the deep south. Yay! Gotta love this bit Peter: So Chris starts in with all this "yo yo yo" stuff and I don't know what the hell he's talking about. So I started beating him with a hose, then my arm got tired, so I came here

-shaDow
One of the best shows that TV has to offer nowadays. I've got all of the DVD's + Family Guy Live In Vegas + all the season 4 episodes recorded on my Tivo. It's pretty freaking sweet if I must say so myself. Brown Streak RR
I love Family Guy. I've missed the last few episodes though. On a better note, I got two episodes onto my PSP: E. Peterbus Unum and Special Olympics. E. Peterbus Unum (The "Peteroia" one) is my favorite episode of all time. Who can forget Stewie in the kitchen with the lights out? Or, "We are about to commence Operation Bomb-The-Crap-Out-of-Your-House. They guy who makes up the names is on vacation." This is one of the only good, quality shows left for souls like us. Hmm.... Dr. Stupid
I concur: Family Guy rocks the socks off anybody that has seen it, unless they are humorless losers with poles jammed in places they shouldn't be. It's not afraid to be controversial at times, which is where the funniness comes from. Each episode alsodelivers a buckshot of pop-culture references that tickles your funny bone and leaves you wanting more. What the f*ck am I, a columnist for TV Guide? Anyway, let's get some quotes! (There's a lot of 'em!) God: Here, let me light that for you, babe. (Zap with Thunderbolt to the cigarette) Girl: Hey, thanks! God: Yep, magic fingers (chuckles). (Zap with Thunderbolt to the girl incinerating her, and lighting the bar on fire.) God: Jesus Christ! Jesus: What? God: Get the Escalade! We're outta here! Peter: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Lois, this isn't my Batman glass. Gym Teacher: Most of the time, the kids play out in the field, but if its raining or I'm hungover, they stay inside and play dodgeball. Peter: Aw I love dodgeball, Heads up! (Throws ball at a random guy, knocking him out) Home Ec Teacher: This week in home ec, we're teaching your kids how to make bundt cakes. Peter: Aw I love bundt cakes, Heads up! (Throws a bundt cake at the same guy, knocking him into a shelf, which falls on him) Band Teacher: The school band offers a variety of instruments from the kettle drum to the trombone. Peter: Aw I love the trombone! (Man is bracing himself) (Peter does a trombone solo) (Applause) Lois: (To lady next to her) Isn't he great? He took lessons over the summer. Peter: Heads up! (Throws trombone at man, knocking him out) Lois: You see, our son Chris, well... Peter: Wait, Lois, we have to handle this delicately. Our son....wants....to plow you. Mrs. Lockhart: Oh, I thought it was something like that. Brian (as Mark Twain): Well kids I better be getting back to the 1800's in my time steamboat (goes behind the desk, pretending to walk down steps). Brian: Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything? Chris: Yeah! Captain Crunch was here! Didn't you pass him on the stairs?! Mrs. Lockheart: How's your oatmeal honey? Husband: It's fine, but it tastes funny today. Oh my god! There's a bear in my oatmeal! (Mrs. Lockhart begins to walk behind the desk) Chris: Watch out for the stairs!!! Mrs. Lockhart: AAAHH!! (SHe falls down an unseen flight of stairs, and falling-down-stairs noises can be heard) Brian: Yes uh, well, Mr. Tucker it seems your son Jake had some vodka at the school dance and uh, Chris got blamed for it. This whole situation has just turned his whole life upside down faced. Stewie: (Shocked, he widens his eyes and slowly turns head towards Brian--Tom Tucker's son has an upside down face.) Peter: Everybody I've got bad news. We've been cancelled. Lois: Oh no Peter! How could they do that? Peter: Well unfortuantely Lois, there's just no more room on the schedule. We just gotta accept the fact that FOX has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's Show, Wonder Falls, Fast Lane, Andy Richter Controls The Universe, Skin, Girl's Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freaky Links, Wanda At Large, Costello, The Lone Gunman, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddy, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric The Entertainer, The Tick, Louie, And Greg The Bunny.... Lois: Is there no hope? Peter: Well I suppose if ALL those shows go down the tubes we might have a shot. Lois: Peter, theres a hooker on the bed! Hooker: Hi. Peter: Stand perfectly still Lois, their vision is based on movement. (Pause) Hooker: Where'd you go? Gepetto: Whoops, I dropped my glasses. (Bends down, butt facing Pinochio.) Oh, by the way Pinochio, there were some cookies missing from the jar. Uh, did you take them? Pinochio: Yes, pa. I did. Gepetto: Are you sure you didn't? Pinochio: Yes, pa. I'd never lie to you. Gepetto: Are you sure? I mean, you could lie to me. And who knows? You may even get away with it. (Peter slowly raises up a comic book into his line of sight while he is driving.) Peter (to himself): Hehehehehe.....Look at all those hamburgers. You can't eat all those hamburgers, you stupid fella (car veers off the road). Oh geeze! (Peter swerves the car back on the road and then slowly raises up the comic book again). Uh! He's gonna do it! Oh he is SO ridiculous--you hear me, you ridiculous man? (Car crashes into tree.) Peter: Oh this is almost as intense as that time I forgot how to sit down! (Cut to the Griffin home. Peter walks up to an armchair and stops 6 feet away from it. He stares at it for a few seconds, then throws himself at the chair, destroying it and obviously injuring himself.) (Peter and Lois are having sex atop Mt. Rushmore) George Washington: Hey Jefferson. There's a chick gettin' nailed on my head. Thomas Jefferson. Sweet! And now you know

Philtheonearmedbandit
I wouldn't go saying that Family Guy is better than the Simpsons. They're just... different. They may be the same genre but they're both shooting for different things... The Simpsons while trying to be laugh out loud funny has always been about teaching life lessons and family values. While Family Guy is just sheer stupidity and pop culture references which is what makes it so good is because it doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's like comparing Arrested Development with Malcolm in the Middle, they're both comedy and they're both similar but they're aiming for different levels.
