Badding Posted June 18, 2005 Share Posted June 18, 2005 When do the safe houses in San Fierro "open"? I've probably done about 15-20 missions there but the safe houses are still red & unbuyable. All houses in Los Santos (I've bought 4 or 5 by now) and the ones in the Las Venturas desert region are green and available for purchase. I'm slowly starting to fear a bug/glitch of some kind... Early_Q2 Posted June 18, 2005 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Once you've done all the robbery missions for Catalina, you'll get another race mission off Ceasar (where you race Catalina)... do that then you'll get another mission from the Truth (the drugged up hippie) which will lead to officially "opening" San Fierro and all its features Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The last mission I did with Truth was the one where you burn his weed fields and drive his spaced out van to the San Fierro garage. srg Posted June 18, 2005 Share Posted June 18, 2005 I believe you have to do the very first mission in San Fierro first, which is Wear Flowers in Your Hair before you make the safe houses available for purchase. This mission is right after the Are You Going to San Fierro mission where you and Truth burned that weed plantation after whic he asked you to drive to the doherty garage to store the camper there.
