DoMiNuS/the/real/one
You really should try doing Burglary missions in LV. I just finished my 5th load there and I found that if you go to Prinkle Pines (You have a girlfriend there, and a Safe House -if you bought it-) you will find some really awesome homes that are extremely loaded! I got 20 items out of only two homes, and I only entered each house once! Two problems though: First (and worst) there is a bad glitch (it seems)where if the house has 2 or more bedrooms and has people sleeping in different bedrooms in the same house, even if you kill them they re-spawn every time you go back in the house. Same people, same bedrooms no matter how many times you kill them. The load you get though is worth it. Th eother problem is really minor: Prinkle Pines is all the way on the other side of LV, so if you dont know the way back well (and you crash alot) the 5 minutes it gives you to get back isnt much (it wasnt a problem for me, but I'm just throwing it out there for those who arent very familiar with LV). maf
Once I've popped enough drug pushers I'll give the burglaries another go. I'm over in Angel Pine now, but I can still get back to Los Santos. It might be a bit more dangerous driving back to the lockup, though There seems to be a van available over in San Fierro, so I'll case out the houses and routes out that way instead and see what I can pick up Edited June 24, 2005 by maf Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/196982-burglary-mission-tutorial/page/2/#findComment-2928138 Share on other sites

Kindo
Really useful guide. Thank you! I only have one question... I saw somewhere that when you accumulate a certain amount of money via Burglary, you get infinite run, or something like that. Looking it up further, I couldn't see it mentioned anywhere else. There was a save-game pack, where someone had made one save game with "Burglary Missions" complete or something like that: - Over $10,000 has been stolen on the Burglary Missions unlocking INFINITE SPRINT. Is it just crazy talk? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/196982-burglary-mission-tutorial/page/2/#findComment-2943065 Share on other sites
mg_01
Just what do the targets look like? I'm in the van, I'm riding around, there's nothing special on the map and I don't see anything to rob. What am I looking for? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/196982-burglary-mission-tutorial/page/2/#findComment-2943245 Share on other sites
Mxyzptlk
Infinite Sprint: I guarantee you get $3,000 bonus after stealing $10,000 worth of goods, and Infinite Sprint. It's true you get infinite sprint. I made a video of my test (now lost) and Craig Kostelecky posted the line from the game's code. mg, you have to get in a designated black boxville at night and press whatever button starts side missions in your particular game version. Then you drive to a residential area and most houses will have the yellow entrance markers. Arthazzz
this is what i do: i park the van between two houses. I start the mission when it's 20:00 I get in to one house, i ignore everything & take the closest item, than run back outside & put it in the van. Than i do the same thing next door, than come back & take the same item. I do this till 6:00 & here are the results: Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/196982-burglary-mission-tutorial/page/2/#findComment-2943670 Share on other sites

It said I got the 3000 dollar bonus, but there was no notification referring to any other rewards - such as the Infinite Sprint. I assume it's still activated, though, right? It's just odd, because hardly any guides I've read have mentioned this reward before. Mxyzptlk
Sorry I neglected to say there is no notification of the sprint reward. When I tested this I removed my memory card , started a new game and rode the bike from Glen Park to the black boxville, sprinted from the truck to Grove Street and noted how far before CJ was winded. Then I did all the robberies and got the $3,000 and mission complete. I ran the sprint course again and go to the safehouse, and kept going for seveal minutes. CJ never slowed or bent over breathing hard. The reason most people never notice they earned infinite sprint is they don't complete the robberies until very late in the game when they have high stamina and strength anyhow; and the aforementioned lack of notification.... mg_01
I tried again last night and again I can't find anything to rob. I drove to the street where the Low-Rider mod shop is in the van, activated the mission, but no yellow entrances appeared. I drove around looking at houses all over Los Santos and never saw any yellow entrances. Can someone pinpoint a spot the know is robbable for me so I can find and try one? Mulholland seemed to have a lot of "money" houses to burgle. I looked in some homes close to CJ's house but kept walking into a front room full of Grove homies who wanted to waste me Burglaries are coolio, but I prefer sneaking around popping drug dealers. A good day and night's work can net $40,000 or more. wwfmike
I just completed the burglary missions at 21 items and $8820. My trick was to park the truck in the johnson house garage and then drive up a little and then rob 2 houses going back and forth running and still making it out before the timer reached 0. I also noticed that if you park the truck a short distance from a house, you barely need to walk out the door and press enter and he just lays down the item on the ground. No you don't need to get $10,000 worth in one night for the sprint and $3000 bonus. You can do it in multiple sessions and still complete the task. I just made a handy 10 grand in one night, robbing three houses repeatedly (the fourth had someone awake on the couch). It was in a street across froml the low-rider street. Note the orange square. I don't know if house properties stay the same, but the house at the south-eastern corner of the street had a big TV and a nice stereo which I continually nicked, interspersing it with the theft of normal TVs and VCRs at the other places.
