Just run it at the main menu during the game. Anti Alias is always disabked at this point, but they were in the .set zip too, so no worries Happy Tweaking, and thank Jacob. N e way, I'm hoping to make it so no one has to ask over and over again, like we all have been. this way, if you wanna try another setting, there it is. and we can all move on the other things. you know? That .set file was just what the doctor ordered. gtasa finally works great! it's got 640x480x16res. my specs: amd athlon xp2000+ asus m/b geforce 4mx onboard with 32 mb AND IT WORKS! thanks again bro. The game runs smooth with antialiasing 1, frame limiter off. I installed the NGO Nvidia drivers and works! dertyjerzian Posted June 18, 2005 Author Share Posted June 18, 2005 My new good friend Asif, (I'm not sure of his screen name here, I haven't had any PM's in a while to see and we have been speaking through eMail), has sent me over some custom GTA_SA.SET Settings Files to share with everyone who shares the flaw on their system that causes GTASA to crash whenever you attempt to enter the Advanced Display Options menu item. Here is a quick list of their discription: gta_sa_no_widescreen.set --------------------------------------- draw distance 12/16 frame limiter OFF widescreen off visual effects quality: medium mip mapping off anti aliasing off resolution 800X600X32 gta_sa_widescreen.set --------------------------------------- draw distance 12/16 frame limiter OFF widescreen on visual effects quality: medium mip mapping off anti aliasing off resolution 800X600X32 gta_sa_1280x1024_no_widescreen.set ------------------------------------------------------- draw distance 8/16 frame limiter OFF widescreen off visual effects quality: next up from low mip mapping off anti aliasing off resolution the largest (1280X1024X32) gta_sa_asif.set (working great on my radeon 7000 64mb) ------------------------------------------------------- draw distance 12/16 frame limiter ON widescreen off visual effects quality: low mip mapping off anti aliasing off resolution 1024X768 When I figure out how to host them so people can access them, I will post them in my official thread and perform a much need formatting of the topic. My request, after finding out that I can work SA without it being demonically sluggish, is one that doesn't screw up the textures. I would like one that didn't have various characters with triangles cut out of them. If someone could figure what is the best for that, it would be great.
