Problem with on foot controls

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm using a gamepad to play GTA 3, on the pc, i know i'm a bit behind the times.

but i have played vice city already.

 

ok, when using the direction controls, up goes forward thats grand, but left sidesteps left, right sidesteps right and down steps backward. I CANNOT TURN AROUND,

 

any suggestions. i've matched the controls to what i have in vice city, but cannot resolve problem.

Go to the controls configuration menu and then choose "normal" for your controls (not "standard").
