SA has a whole bunch of them, but this time there are customizeable CJ's that you choose which clothes you want. The question is, what would you rather have? Player customization is one of the biggest things in San Andreas, any multiplayer mod that doesn't syncronize it is out of their mind. Making things different by letting the people choose is great. I also think this would work well with gang wars. MadeInThe80s Posted June 13, 2005 Share Posted June 13, 2005 Have the gangs. in LOS SANTOS you can play as any of the 3/2 avaliable gang skins from each gang, Families, Ballas, Vagos, Aztecas and the Cops each gang would spawn in their own turfs from single player and Cops would spawn at the station naturally. Even introduced some gangs that aren't in Los Santos to make it more diverse like use the biker skin to have a biker gang, bring in the Rifa, Triads, the Mafia, whatever problem you got here it's solved. Everyone being CJ would be boring imo. Non-main characters are better to choose from anyway since a main character is too specific and having everyone be a ped is more equal. Just load the gangs with certain weapons that fit their theme, that's all. Cops wouldn't carry around knives, the street gangs wouldn't run around with batons and the Mafia wouldn't be caught DEAD with a dildo in their hand. Like before u spawn, u can choose the shop you will choose clothes from and the clothes u will wear. and maybe also haircut. Or if its not going to be stupid Deathmatch mode, you could make clothes cost something. So in beginning u have like 500$ so u buy the most eazy sh*t, and if u make more money u can customize your CJ. Also an option of keeping same clothes after death would b nice. Its not your decision how this mod will work, and even if it was on this subject, XcR would still have the better method. The server may set your character for you, but where do you think the server would your character from in the first place? Obviously the client. Example: Client tries to get a new haircut, sends haircut packet. Server does some hack-checking, accepts, writes to INI file, then sends back haircut confirmation packet. Client receives confirmation and changes your haircut. In my opinion, a lot of things should work this way. Its safer, more reliable, and more effective.
