tonjulkin
When playing, game freezes. Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours or half hour etc. It stops responding the game screen freezes and the radio station keeps playing. If I press ctr+alt+del it doesnt help... I think it starts in the back, but the game doesn't minimize so I'm not realy sure. The frozen in-game screen stays on monitor. I tried all different combinations of settings in the game, installed old and new drivers for graphic card and motherboard, tried compatibility mode... nothin helped. If anyone can help me... thanks. My system: Amd Athlon xp 2800+ Radeon 9600 Abit nf7s Win XP pro, SP2 geil 512 ram Wd 120gb sata hard drive If you need more info, please tell me... Thank you once again... and sorry if my grammar isn't very good.

losprimos
Try this first:: The default settings for 'Always-On' puts the monitor in stand-by mode after 20 mins (if I remember correctly). You need to change the 'Turn off monitor' setting to 'Never' and then click 'Apply' to make this the new default for the 'Always-On' setting. ---- ok sounds like the problem is a heating problem! try keeping your computer cool by putting a fan next to the chip by opening the panel. ----- if not try updating the Catalyst Hope This Helps!! NC_Neo
hello! This problem is a game Bug!!! There is no solution yet. I have the same prob and many others in german forums too. It's not a Software or Hardware problem. It's just GTA: San Andreas. I think we have to wait for a patch. I think Rockstar made big mistakes! Many many people have problems with San Andreas, but Rockstar had much time to test the PC-Version but they may only concentrate on new GTA games. Ballasripper
My SA crashes very often at the same place in downtown, but in other areas in los santos i can drive around without any problems, how can this be, i have the latest drivers. And it doesent matter if i play with a nocd crack or with the original exe, a patch against this crashterror is really needed!
LeeDFXP
Since a few day's, i have this to... I played through the entire game twice allready without this happening once!! Even for like hours & hours in a row, but now this happens like every 15 minutes, it's driving me mad Screen freezes, while the ambience sound is still going, can't alt tab to desktop, neither does ctrl+alt+delete work... i have to reboot the pc using the reset button Can't be my drivers either, coz then it would have occured the first 2 times i went through the game to. Anybody else with a few tips or whatever to tryout?
