henryke
im using the "the user radio" (i dunno the exact station name) in "radio" mode, means, the tracks should be interrupted with advertises and news. But there is only the tracks, so i hear only music, and no advs. or news or anything. so what the difference between the "sequential" and "radio" settings in the audio menu, if both of them playing only the custom music? deskoh91
it should be in radio mode I guess for the ads and stuff to be heard.
henryke
i have it in "radio" mode, but only the songs playing (in random order).
DigitallyInsane^
Mine is on User Track Radio or whatever it is called and it plays songs randomly, changing the name of the radio station to the name of the album the current song is from, and every couple of songs I get a radio advertisement, so far I've heard one for Cluckin' Bell, and the Mid-Life Crisis Clinic one.... I think perhaps the difference might just be that there should still be ads and news on both sequential and radio modes, and radio mode plays the tracks on shuffle.... but I'm not sure, I've only been playing the Xbox version for under an hour... henryke
you are lucky then:) im playing PC version, and get no ads nor news, and the radio station title does not says the album or song title, only says "user track player" or what... Im using MP3 file shortcuts, maybe this is a problem?
DigitallyInsane^
I wouldn't think so, infact I would say MP3 files would be the best to use.... but I can't be sure, have you tested with a different file extension? like .wma?
vALKYR
I have shortcuts (.mp3) and I get ads every 5-7 songs. So technically, that shouldn't be the problem.

Hmm that could be my problem, im not usually in a car longer then 2-3 songs :: <')))>( yeh, me too. I will try to stay in the car for 6-7 songs, and we will see. BTW, (modders!) would be good to find a cfg. file, and change the density of the ads. in the user radio. (because this is not a radio, this is "just" an mp3 player now
vality7
I thought the user track player was dissapointing...i thought you'd be able to set it up with a playlist and all... if you put it on ''radio'' mode then it will play radio bits in between and i know it works cos i have heard it but its not very often that you do hear it and i find it pointless really cos they dont say much... Heres what i believe they mean - 'Random' = plays a random song from a random soundtrack 'Radio' = same as random but plays radio in between (randomly i guess) 'Sequential' = plays current soundtrack in sequence I haven't tried but you could try creating a small soundtrack with say 5 tracks and test that out to see how often it plays the radio bits... I've only got it on Xbox btw...
X-Vert
ugh sorry to bring this old thread back, but I'm having troubles with my User tracklist. I put in a bunch of mp3's into the User track list folder, and when i get into a car, and turn on the user track list radio station, all I hear is commercials, i've been in the car for like atleast 20min and none of my songs came up... all it is is commercials. Can someone tell me wtf is going on. Thanks.
