weaselman50
What if you get an action replay max, copy every thing (Including hidden files) to your computer change files to archive (not read only). Use the media creater software from the action replay max and burn the new modded version through ps2 cd Roms icon. Tell me if it is possible. Doubt it, possible though, because the PS2 won't read burned games, so I doubt it, but possible... IDK
Opius
Even with a chip, no. There's no way to copy the boot data without making an ISO and then there's no way to edit it. If you want to mod the PS2 version you're looking at around $300 worth of hardware and 3 hours of work for even the simplest mod.
biggestloser
What exaclty are you trying to change in the game? Depending on what you're doing will affect what you can and can't do with the Action Replay. Small mods will be fine, but Total Conversions, I believe, are not (just saying this with a grain of sand, but I'm pretty sure that's correct). And I believe you'll also have to have the same headers and footers as a PS2 disc in order for it to function like a PS2 game. If you don't format it right, it won't work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Barton Waterduck modded a GTA PS2 version, although I don't recall which one. But perhaps he has the hardware installed in his PS2. You should PM him and ask him. Edited December 3, 2005 by biggestloser
