sno1681
So the game installed fine. Went to run the app, but got the error message: "Original disc could not be found or authenticated." The DVD is in. Computer recognizes it. Autorun works okay, and I can browse files on the DVD in Explorer. Ideas? I'm stumped.
Road Apples
I'm having the exact same problem. Winxp sp2, everything is up to date. My dvd drive is a HP dvd300i. After watching the multi coloured disk spin for 60 seconds, I get this error. "Original disc could not be found or authenticated." Pretty frustrating
john0877
well provided that you own the original game im sure its fine to use a nocd if you want. of course i wouldnt suggest it if you hadnt bought the game as thats wrong. but i think legally if you have the original game a no cd is fine. if this violates rules by suggesting a nocd for a legit copy of the game then by all means remove post

The only thing that I kept for the new system I built. Tonight I picked up the Sony 16x dual layer DVD-burner so I'm gonna check and see if it works. Maybe it's an old school Hewlett Packard issue.
