Hynes
It's not just Windows. I decided to merge some partitions today. Some advice: Don't. I lost my 20gb game partition today, and it's been replaced with... EMPTY SPACE. Since it was via Windows, I now f*cking hate Windows. Windows is a fa**ot operating system. Sure, Partition Magic f*cked my drive, but it was BECAUSE of Windows. Windows whored about having no space. Windows made me partition the fa**ot. Windows made me f*cking do it. I hate Windows. f*ck f*ck f*ck. Since my f*cking games are gone, I'm moving to Linux. f*ck Windows.

Bond996
Sounds much like my own Windows experience. When I installed Windows I put it into a FAT32 partition, aware that I would dual-boot Linux in due time. About 3 months later, it was due time for me, and I used Partition Magic to take about 20gb away from windows. But NOOOOOO. Wiped out my Partition Table for me and f*cked over the Windows Installation. I wiped the hard drive with the ubuntu installer and haven't looked back. Hell, wireless even works BETTER in linux. Only problem is that samba refuses to work for me. But hey, it's MS's fault for not releasing the details.
Hynes
I feel the same; I f*cking hate Microsoft. When I get my new hard drives, I'm moving all my important sh*t onto it, formatting the current one I'm using now, and putting Ubuntu on it. No Windows anywhere. Blame Microsoft for everything. Wolf68k
How exactly did you merge the partition? I've merged partitions in Windows using Partition Magic and everything was perfectly fine afterwards. It even remapped the shortcuts and registry entries to the location of the files that were on the old partitions.
ilikensrs
This all the fault of Bill Gate$ and Micro$hit. Those money grubbing bastards will sell an OS to just any bastard who walks in off the street and has a few hundred dollars, instead using their near monopoly to force users to take proficiency tests before selling it to them. Hynes
I don't understand why it's MS' fault that this guy can't use a piece of software properly..seriously. It all went fine, restarted, remapped the shortcuts and sh*t, and boom, the drive was gone. Empty space. I got back what I wanted though, so it's not really a problem.
