Squiddy 3
The user track player of San Andreas has a lot of features, automatic scanning at startup, refreshing while playing etc. IMO using playlists would be more efficient than copying links to audio files into the user tracks directory. I wrote a little console application that is able to take a normal textfile which includes the wanted tracks (just like winamp's m3u), and saves them into the 2 relevant files, sa-ufiles.dat and sa-utrax.dat. These files are located in your 'GTA San Andreas User Files'. Before you begin, be sure to make a backup of both files first as this app hasn't been tested a lot. - Extract the SAPlaylister.exe from the archive to your 'GTA San Andreas User Files' directory - To display the current tracks, just execute the file, a console will open with a list of all tracks - To use a playlist you drag and drop it on SAPlaylister Be sure to use valid audio files in the playlist, otherwise san andreas might crash (it's not been tested yet). Turn off "Automatic Media Scan", and don't search for new tracks in sa, otherwise the changes will be overwritten. I hope you like it. Squiddy 3
Cool mod dude, I like it alot. Thanks, your post looks like you allready have tested it. I have a question then, when I tried it I noticed that only the last track in the list was played, is it the same for you?

EgoDeath 0
Ill try this out, and see if i cant get my radio station ingame. wtf! What does it do? When i run it, it just shows what tracks i have in there. you obviously diddnt read his post then that explains how to use this program lol anyway. i cant get the tracks to play, i have like 150 of them in there though, ill do more testing because its a great idea EDIT: ok here are my results. i tried a playlist of only a few tracks, and it would not play any of them, then i add those exact same tracks (as shortcuts) to the users dir and use SA to scan them in, and they all work perfectly so i had alook at the sa-ufiles.dat file this is what your program would write: D:\media\Music\random\04-My Last Serenade.mp3\MYSHAR~1\System of a Down & Wu-Tang Clan - Shame.mp3D:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Blind.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Bonus.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Clown.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Daddy.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Divine.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Faget.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Fake.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Helmet in the Bush.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Lies.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Need to.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Predictable.wavD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Shoots and Ladders.wavD:\media\Music\RADIOH~1\OKCOMP~1\02 Paranoid Android.wmaD:\media\Music\RADIOH~1\OKCOMP~1\08 Electioneering.wmaD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\Korn - Ball Tongue.wav this is full of inconsistancys, notice on the first track it says random well that should say radiohead, and after my last serenade, it should have the D:\ not just \MYSHAR~1 this is what SA would write after scan(which all tracks would work fine): D:\media\Music\RADIOH~1\OKCOMP~1\02PARA~1.WMAD:\media\Music\RADIOH~1\OKCOMP~1\08ELEC~1.WMAD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-B~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-B~2.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-B~3.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-C~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-D~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-D~2.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-F~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-F~2.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-H~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-L~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-N~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-P~1.WAVD:\media\Music\Korn\Korn\KORN-S~1.WAV big difference and workes fine 2nd Edit: these forums dont have word wrap? eewwww how un neat! anyway, i hope this helps Edited June 19, 2005 by EgoDeath
