akochan
Try a different DVD-ROM if possible. My Acer 16x DVD-ROM wouldn't run it and I had to go buy a cheapo Artec 16x to get past the copy protection. Also I believe the game will have install issues if you've got certain sorts of virtual drive, burning, etc. software. It also doesn't like perfectly legitmate software sometimes like Nero or PowerDVD that comes with drives. Disable or uninstall all that stuff and see if it helps. gta-addict19
I had the exact same problem, contacted Rockstar and they gave a fix, the problem was the tfswctrl.exe service running in the background (deals with Windows cd burning feature). Go to Start, Run, type msconfig, go to the startup tab and uncheck the servce named tfswctrl. That service had an effect on every DVD game I own (MOHPA, BFME....) the only problem was that GTA SA is too new to have a crack out already. And yes with that off I was still able to burn dvds with nero just fine.
