radicalMTBrider Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 Hey ya'll, This topic probably doesn't go here but I'm new here and am looking for help. Ok, been playing the game for like 30 hours now, no cheats or mods. My system is far above and beyond the system requirements. Its the PC version. THE PROBLEM: In the "Fender Ketchup" mission, during the real time cinema scene in the garage, CJ can't get out of the garage. The first video plays flawlessly, then it shows that dude on the hood of the car and then cj gets in, then when he should drive off right? No, he drives into the garage door that is closed, but the video showed it as open..., strange.., and my controls are completely locked out in the game. The camera is on the back wheel spinning and burning out, it stays this way for about a min, until the car explodes and a big "mission failed" goes on the screen. I wind up at the hospital and then it happens all over again. I know this isn't my computer freezing b/c the system keyboard shortcuts are still functional 'alt-tab', 'alt-esc', etc. IF you are TROUBLESHOOTING this prob, the file save is below. Go to 'Wu Zi Mi's casino and step into red circle, press space bar to skip the video and watch. FooDawg Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 I find that I can hit the windows key on my keyboard and it goes to windows right away and doesnt hang like the graphics bug. And then you can go back to GTA:SA and itll be in the menu and you can load, instead of waiting for the car to explode. I also am having this problem and cannot progress anymore because of it. radicalMTBrider Posted June 11, 2005 Author Share Posted June 11, 2005 I called Rock* tech support yesterday and the man told me to send in my game save and he'd get back to me in 24 hours on it. It was around 5pm yesterday, so hopefully I'll hear back in a few hours. He told me that he would either find someone who could fix the issue and then re save it and send it back to me. cormack Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 Had the same problem...i alt tabbed out to windows, went in again, resumed and hit lshift (set to sprint). dunno if i was just being lucky, but it worked. probably best to do it before the glitch actually sets in. FooDawg Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 OK... I figured out what my problem was. For some reason, my lshift key wasnt working. I had changed my compatability over in the properties of the shortcut in order to fix the sound glitch, but that didnt allow me to use lshift for some reason.
