jdawg224
EDIT: I fixed my audio sync problems by enable full audio acceleration in dxdiag. My problem is graphics. I just formatted my computer and reinstalled windows xp and san andreas. Right now, I am running on microsoft graphic drivers for my geforce4 mx460. So far, no problems running the game. Here is my problem: When I install the LATEST nvidia drivers, it screws up my whole computer and I cannot even boot my pc without crashing. (Blue screen of death). I fixed this by going into safe mode and then doing a system restore to a point before installing the nvidia drivers. I then re-installed an older build of the nvidia drivers and my computer boots up normally. When I play san andreas, the graphics are messed up. The vehicle textures are all gone, and all I see are white cars with no skins. So I did another system restore back to before installing the nvidia drivers and to the microsoft graphic drivers. Now the game runs fine. What the heck?!?! Somehow, microsoft graphic drivers are working better than the official nvidia drivers... EDIT: I'm going to take my chances by installing hacked graphic drivers, like omega drivers. I'll update on how it goes. Jee
How about installing your audio drivers? Since your videocard drives video, I would think that installing updated audio drivers would .... I do wonder though how you reformat, then uninstall drivers, then install new ones. That's physically impossible, unless you meant by the 'reformatting' that you reinstalled Windows. By the way, when i formatted my computer and reinstalled windows xp, it installed the new audio drivers for my sound blaster live. I went to the soundblaster webpage and their auto update software told me that my drivers are already up to date.
