Jee
Other than the mouse issues in this thread, I have normal mouse working in the menus, but just as soon as I hit the game and enter any vehicle or try to shoot a gun, the world starts spinning around me/Carl. Holding the RMB and moving the mouse back to the left doesn't counteract it. I am spinning off to the right. Very difficult when driving a vehicle (no spinning occurs when I am in 1st person view though!) or trying to shoot a gun. Trying to use the keyboard options for aiming doesn't work either, the world will keep on spinning. The mice I am using are the standard Microsoft PS2 mouse and a Logitech Wireless mouse (USB and PS2, doesn't matter). I uninstalled the Logitech firmware, to see if that was the problem. Not. I set all mouse view options to off, tried upping&lowering the sensitivity. I've tried the Windows 98 compatibility mode on my Windows 2000 box. I can't get past the Nine and AKs level, because at the start I have to lock on and blow those bottles away. A tad difficult when the mouse turns 30 degrees away by the time I fired the gun. I noticed the same problem when I reinstalled GTA 3 and VC a couple of months ago, thought it was my Logitech mouse. Now I am not so sure anymore. May it be a scroller button problem? As I finished both 3 and VC with a plain mouse that's broken down since that time. So I can't even test that! Anyway, can anyone help me out? I'm about to throw both rodents through the window. Frost_
Hi there! I just registered on these boards to try and find some help with this exact problem, I too have the same right spinning camera in Sanandreas aswell as Vicecity. What I discovered is If I reboot my PC and launch the game immediately upon windows finishing loading I can play the game for an intermittent ammount of time. If I play long enough sooner or later the camera breaks and starts spinning around again always to the right in both games. I too use a logitech mouse with driver version 9.80 and control center version 9.80.019 these are the latest drivers available. The mouse is a Logitech MX510 Optical mouse on a USB port which appears to work fine with everything else leading me to believe its some kind of conflict/bug in the code of Rockstar games. If anybody has any advice or solutions to this intermittent fault I would greatly appreciate hearing them
Jee
I managed to get rid of the spinning problem by shutting down and removing my Gravis Exterminator Digital gamepad from the gameport on my soundcard. It didn't matter that I had it calibrated both in Windows and in the game. Upon removal of the gamepad, my game stopped spinning. Now I need to find why the game just hangs completely at the end of every mission, but okay, that's something else.
