OffRoader23
Well, I am the one that released the transfender fix, which makes this easier, but I have found out that if you take any vehicle into transfender that you can, paint it whatever you want, get rims, nos, hydraulics, car stereo, anything else you think the vehicle you want may have (most dont have anything other than NOS, hydraulics, colors, and car stereo boost). Then you simply take that and put it into your garage, and use the handy little garage editing tool, and swap the car. Now, whatever parts you had on the other car, will be on the car you forced into the garage, and the colors will be what you set them to, and with this, you can get any rims and tires on any vehicle in the game. For Example, I have a yosemite with Access wheels, hydraulics, NOS, car stereo boost, and custom paint. Thank you for the garage editing tool, this may open up many things in the future with custom parts the vehicles may have!!! I suppose this will be the best used at the big air hanger garage when the trainer supports it, but those are just sooo far away from a Transfender, lol Edit: Heres another example - LSPD Cop Car Another Good Example - Monster Truck (hydraulics mess it up though) But custom wheels and paint works. 1319987654321
So it's similar to PS2 modify any car... am i right?
OffRoader23
I'm not sure, I didn't use the garage editor on PS2, is that what you are talking about? It seems that if you do basically the same thing on PS2 and use a garage editor, it would turn out with the same results. It also saves the cars permanently in your garage, which can make for some very cool custom garages.
1319987654321
game crash when the garage door open
OffRoader23
That happens if you put on parts that the car wont accept. I have found that almost all cars will accept hydraulics, car stereo boost, new rims, paint, and nitro. But spoilers, exhausts, etc. may crash because the car doesnt have a specified area to put that part on the car, so the game has no code for it, and just crashes. Try it on the cop car, and make it 2 completely different colors, buy hydraulics, new rims, and nos, then swap it out, and see what you end up with. 1319987654321
I figured out !! It's all about carmod.dat If the thing you want to transfer doesnt exist in the carmod.dat then it will crash eg:If you want car A have nos than in the carmod.dat the line of Car A should include NOS Hope you understand
OffRoader23
I didn't realize that the car had to be in the carmods file to do the glitch, but I did know about the carmods.dat file because I made a mod that adds EVERY car to it that isn't already in it. It's in my signature. Edited June 11, 2005 by OffRoader23

OffRoader23
It freezes with quite a few of the parts, and I haven't found out how to get rims on them in the garage yet, but I am working on it. I have however made a mod that adds new rims to transfender, making the count 12, and they are better rims than the normal ones you can buy . I plan on releasing that soon.
