Statico
For some reason, every single time I click the Advanced button in Display Settings, the game minimizes with a black square in the top left corner, then I get one of those Illegal Operation messages. I need to get to the Advanced Options to turn down the gfx quality because the game runs jerkily as if I'm playing a multiplayer with a 56k modem. Anyone else had this, or knows how to fix it? trueBlue
I have been having the same problem. My game hangs, and then produces an Illegal Operations Messag, which is annoying, as like you, I desperately need to turn down the graphics options to allow my game to work more smoothly. Unfortunately I don't have a solution, but I would be very interested in one.
Statico
Yea, i dont understand why it does it, its just every time i click that. Not had any other crashes though
Augh
Try turning off mip-mapping framerate guy. It just sorted next to everything for me framerate-wise. And I need someone else to try it so I can tell hehe. Might help you out. The display thing I thought I had an answer for but realised not as I posted, so sorry for the eventual OT, as if anyone could give a f*ck. scottley
I'm having the same problem. The game is running too slowly with all the eyecandy turned on, but I can't get rid of it because the Advanced Settings screen crashes when I try to select it. Could someone do us a favor and post a gta_sa.set file with the minimum detail settings? -=SMS Pentium M 1500 Radeon 7500 Omegadrivers 2.6.25a WinXP SP1 768MB RAM
Dukeman330
Hey dudes... think I found a fix: a settings file with everything cranked down. Here you go: San Andreas Lo-Res Settings File Just extract that into your User Files directory under Documents and Settings. Game looks like ass, but runs silky smooth on my Geforce2Go! Good luck! ~Dukeman330 EDIT: As it turns out, this IS a fix, for me at least. Swapping in the settings file enabled me to get into advanced options and fiddle with stuff. Resolution seems unchangable, though. Edited June 15, 2005 by Dukeman330
