Tv recordings lose sound

i have a asus tv fv tuner card, and when i set recordings, ocasionally throughout the show, it will lose sound for a minuite or two, then come back. sometimes it doesnt happen at all, sometimes it happens in the middle of a show, and sometims it happens multiple times throughout a show. anybody know why this is happening/how it can be fixed.

 

just some info

 

for recording i am using Intervideo home theater

p4 @ 3.45ghz

1gb of ram.
