wayner77
My vehicle history.  These are the cars I've owned...  Gotta love a disposable car...if all else fails, yank the tags and walk away  1. 1981 Mercury Zephyr  4 door, white with blue vinyl top, blue vinyl interior, 6 cyl, auto.  My first car, although I probably shouldn't count it because I never drove it.  2. 1981 Honda Accord  4 door sedan, Silver w/red cloth, 4cyl, auto.  Got this after it was totaled due to a debt I was owed and I decided on taking this, so the picture isn't from when I owned it but it's the only one I have.  3. 1981 Buick Skylark  2 door, bronzeish-purpleish color, white vinyl interior, 6cyl, auto.  4. 1984 Ford LTD  4 door, silver w/ gray cloth, loaded, 6cyl, auto.  This car took me all over hell's half acre and never gave me a problem.  5. 1979 Ford Fairmont Futura "Betsy"  2 door, silver w/ red plaid cloth, 2.3L 4cyl, auto  The car that wouldn't die. Went through 2 friends and 4 family members within a few years (being bounced back and fourth between a few of them a couple times), probably had around 300k miles. Leaky sunroof, screwy doors. Bought for $100, sold for $10 and an ice scraper (didn't need it, had the LTD).  6. 1985 Ford Tempo GL  4 door, blue/blue 2 tone, blue cloth, 2.3L 4cyl, 4 or 5 spd manual  Stupid, stupid me traded the LTD for this pos. The only car with a manual tranny that I have ever owned. It got junked.  7. 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme "White Lightning".  2 door, white w/ red vinyl top, red cloth interior, modified 305 V8, auto.  Had truck duals so when you went up a driveway or some incline/decline like that the exhaust would scrape bc the way it was bent.  8. 1989 Mercury Tracer  5 door hatchback, black w/gray cloth, 4cyl, auto.  Needed something better on gas so I sold the cutlass for this. I really miss this car. The passenger side was pretty banged up bc the previous owner laid it on it's side. Let my stepfather borrow it to "pick something up", heard it pull up, and looked outside to see a refrigerator hanging out of the hatch! Let my brother borrow it to have him pop out both front axles. This car taught me a valuable lesson; be careful who you lend your car to!  9. 1978 Ford Thunderbird  2 door, Rust-oleum orange w/brown cloth/vinyl, 351W V8, auto.  Traded the Tracer for this. Quiet as death, ugly as sin, big as a river barge. Took this to Kentucky with my brother, his wife, and my other brother. On the way back I kept smelling something burning so I pulled it over in the driveway of a very ritzy looking house, popped the hood and saw it was on fire! Mike had to douse it with a 2 liter of pepsi. We drove it home.  10. 1987 Dodge Shadow ES  5 door hatchback, gray-blue w/blue clock, 2.2L 4cyl, auto  The guy who sold me the Tracer felt bad about it's untimely demise so he sold me this for $250. There was not one straight body panel on this car but could it boogie on the back roads. After a lot of oil was being used I decided to junk it. A friend took it to the scrapper and he says it was out of oil and he tried his best to blow it up but just couldn't. Another car that, aside from that last part, I miss.  11. 1986 Plymouth Caravelle  4 door, dark blue w/ blue cloth, loaded, 2.2L 4cyl, auto  A boring car that also never let me down. Stole the rims & stereo out of the Shadow before I junked it (not the rims in the pic, those are what were on the car when I got it).  12. 1986 Chrysler Laser XE  3 door hatchback, dark grayish-blue w/ gray cloth, loaded, 2.5L 4cyl, auto.  Same thing as a Dodge Daytona. Neat car, had power everything and voice command (a computerized voice that said things like "A Door Is Ajar", "Electrical System Malfunction", "Critical Engine Damage May Occur"-I know bc those are a couple I heard while I had it. I remember screaming back "A door is a f***ing door...shaddup"). Bought for $170, was getting ready to have the head redone after having the timing belt redone. Went to BMV to get the title all the way in my name, and the girl had made a correction on the title. I don't know how it is in other states, but in Ohio you cannot make an alteration to a title or else it's voided. Went to her house to have her file for lost title and she had moved. I ended up selling it for parts for $150.  13. 1978 Pontiac Trans-AM  2 door, black w/ black & gray cloth, 400 CI V8, auto  If you've seen "Smokey And The Bandit" you've seen what this car looks like. Well, you'd have to take a baseball bat to the lower rear quarters of The Bandits car to really get the picture. Had the T-Tops and crosslace rims. Bought it even though I didn't want it to help out a relative in need for $300. Was getting ready to blow. Sold it for $75.  14. 1977 Mercury Monarch "Mergatroid"  2 door, sh*t brown with tan vinyl, 3.3L 6cyl, auto  Back half of frame was just about rusted off, used 2x4s to raise it up, had the column shifter come off in my hand. Junked. Whaddaya expect for $100.  15. 1985 Ford Tempo GL  4 door, tomato-soup red, red cloth front/vinyl back seats (I still have no idea why), 2.3L 4cyl, auto  Looked decent but it had a busted motor mount that wrecked havoc on the rest of the car. Exhaust fell off from the manifold back a couple times, ate alt belts like tic-tacs.  16. 1985 Honda Prelude "Booty Snatcher"  2 door, gray w/ gray cloth, 4cyl, auto.  So named after the seat side bolsters caught a friend in a sensitive area. Honda really did a good job on the suspension tuning on these cars. Power was also pretty good for a 4 banger. Power moonroof never worked, no matter how many relays and fuses I replaced. Defrost never worked either so in the winter I always had to have someone ride shotgun to wipe off the window as I drove. One thing honda didn't seem to get in the '80s-rust proofing. Blew up.  17. 1984 Chevrolet Cavalier Type-10  2 door, red/silver 2 tone, black cloth, 2.0L 4cyl, auto.  Traded off the Tempo and the Prelude for this. I loved this car...another one that never gave me worries. Well, except maybe the leaky sunroof. My sister-in-law called it an "Atrium On Wheels". No matter, on sunny days it was worth it-just pop out the sunroof, crank the stereo and cruise for a while. Bent the muffler backing out of a driveway (no, not the tailpipe, the actual muffler-what are they made of, cardboard?). Again, stupidity was the rule of the day when I traded it for the Rampage.  18. 1982 Dodge Rampage  2 door pickup, blue w/tan vinyl buckets, 2.2L 4cyl, auto.  I know, I know, but it's the only pic I have of it.  An unusual, um, truck. Look around cardomain for other rampages to see what I mean. It's like a small-scale fwd El Camino. Was originally beige but the previous owner thought it would look better spray painted blue. Finished product looked like a cloudy sky.   19. 1982 Dodge B250 Royal  5 door full-sized van, blue/blue 2 tone w/ blue cloth, 318ci V8, auto  Big, big van. Was like driving a motor home. I almost had to relearn driving in this thing. Bad exhaust didn't help. Front left caliper locked up when I was pulling out of my driveway, so I backed it back up into my parking spot. It dug a trench where it dragged the tire. Tranny went out.  20. 1985 Chrysler LeBaron GTS  5 door hatchback, silver w/ black leather, 2.2L turbocharged 4cyl.  Weeee! Had a turbocharged 2.2L 4 cyl, and it could move out. I did have one minor problem where I was doing about 45 and getting ready to round a sharp and narrow corner between a grocery store and a phone pole, so I went to slow down, but the 'Baron had a different idea-It kept accelerating! So I rounded that corner at about 55, pulled into the parking lot, shut it off, turned it back on, and it came out of it's episode. The friend I had with me tried to walk home.  21. 1987 Dodge Lancer ES  5 door hatchback, burgandy w/ maroon cloth, 2.2L turbocharged 4cyl.  Was my brother's car until one day when I went to Speedway to get something, came back and a fire truck was at my house putting this car out. Funny part was when I was out I was listening to the radio and was listening to a song on the way there. The song was, and I kid you not, "I'm On Fire" by Bruce Springsteen. Bought for parts for the LeBaron as they were virtually identical. Oh this was another loaded talking car with a 2.2L turbo 4cyl. Also, the rims on this car were the rims off my old Laser, I think they really set the car off-so to speak.  22. 1984 Ford LTD Crown Victoria  4 door, maroon w/ maroon cloth, 302 V8, auto  Had a mustang GT 302ci V8 in it. Kinda fast for an old fart's car. Towed after the keys were lost.  23. 1986 Dodge Aries  2 door, maroon w/ maroon interior, 2.5L 4cyl, auto.  A piece of crap. The sunroof leaked, the doors had a nasty habit of swinging open while you rounded a corner at any speed, then they refused to open from the outside (the sunroof once served as the entry point after I forgot to roll the windows down first), got trapped behind the wheel when the seatbelt refused to release (a nickel was stuck in the mechanism) but I can say this; the car always ran good and never broke down.  24. 1988 Ford Escort GL "The Roach Coach"  5 door hatchback, primer gray w/ gray cloth/vinyl, 4cyl, auto.  We yanks get ripped off by the Escort nameplate. From what I gather, Escort in other countries is a reveared name, here it is reviled. Another car I didn't want, had it for maybe a week. Felt like it was made by Fisher-Price.  25. 1987 Chrysler LeBaron "Dr. Death's Wild Ride"  2 door, gold w/ tan cloth, 2.5L 4cyl, auto.  Bought & sold on same day. Scary bad brakes.  26. 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity  2 door, dark blue w/ blue cloth, 2.5L 4cyl, auto.  Bought the car thinking it was the fuel system. It was the timing gear. Used it for parts on my '82.  27. 1982 Chevrolet Celebrity CL  4 door, white w/silver cloth, 2.5L 4-cyl, auto.  Was my sister-in-law's grandfather's car and I got it for a very good price. It has 69,000 original miles and is bone stock with the 2.5L 4cyl engine. The interior is in immaculate condition save for the missing headliner, but the board is in perfect shape so a replacement shouldn't be too hard. Also, I stole the factory auto-reverse casette deck and speakers out of my '88 junker Celeb.

millermagic
Before my parents were married My mom has had Dodge Pickup Ford Torino Monte Carlo (one of the real RWD Ones)  My dad has had A few before that 196x Ford Fairlane 1978 F250 or 200 1979 Oldsmobile Toronado  When they got married, my dad kept the toronado. That lasted until 1996 or so.  His F250 he bought in 1989 after the original owner flipped it and totaled it with a camper on it. He rebuilt it and kept it until 2001. He carried more than it's GCVW(that's trailer and vehicle) on it for over 200000 miles. When he got rid of it, it had 1 brake and got towed more miles than he drove it  My mom got a 1985 Jeep CJ7. They kept that until 1997, when she got a wrangler. The CJ7 had over 100000 miles on it, holes in the floor and I don't think any back brakes.  In 2001, my mom got another Jeep Wrangler. Complete POS. Went through 4 radiators, had its computer reprogrammed every month, misfired like crazy.  In 2001, my dad leased a 2001 Ford Taurus for my grandmother. Last summer, they bought it for me and I drive it now. Great car.  In 2004, my mom got a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It's all fancied up for off roading (my dad wanted that model). So far, we have never driven it off road or anything.
