You guys are probably aware of me driving a super slow car but just to show how slow it is, i recorded this.

 

 

Did you miss the second gear change?

Haha nah man, basically i turned left at the lights in first gear, as soon as the horn goes i start accelerating and then i go through all the gears before hitting 60, my golf and the civic were wayyyy faster which is why i cannot wait to get rid of this sh*t and get myself something a bit better.

Yeah, it's a 1.8, but you're missing the point. I merely took the picture because I suddenly noticed that all the dials were pointing straight up, not to show how fast my ridiculously slow Golf goes at 4k RPM in 5th.

73mph at 4000rpm in 5th indicates it's a 6-speed, at a guess.

That or woefully under-geared.

Ignore the Check Engine and Seatbelt light. I have my ACM pulled so it throws the codes that sends those lights flashing even though everything is fine (aside from the airbags).

 

 

 

 

It was a rolling start down a straight (but bumpy) road. Something like 15-20 up to 70-80. By no means fast...but its a f*cking jeep. Also, its quite a loud video.

I am going to put on some pants and shoes and do a drive by my house with the camera rolling from the porch top of my Cobalt. Should be a little better.

 

EDIT: Uploading now. I damn near hit a deer 3 doors down from my house.

You can hear me turning around a 1/4 mile from my house around 0:47.

 

Around 1:00 you can start to hear me pulling back on the road and coming back and at 1:13 you can hear me slow down for the deer that ran on the road.

 

I love how you can hear it when I am that far away. I thought my girlfriend said she can hear me as I am coming into town from her house.

I really enjoy the drive. Done about 150 miles of mixed driving to test it out today. Rides perfectly.

 

Has full black leather interior, electric everything, and dual zone climate control (which doesn't get cold right now )

 

Problems!

 

Has air getting into the fuel system so needs a good crank to get it started, needs the o-rings changed and probably the filters. Going to give it a mega service anyway.

Air con needs refreshed for the 2 more weeks the weather calls for it.

CV joint looks worn so gonna swap that out too.

Sticky front passenger window to look at.

Fitted some upgrade AeroTwin wiper arms and blades to my car today, and swapped my antenna to one from the new Polo.

That back wiper was really on there. Took me a good 10 minutes, lots of WD40 and a hammer to get it off of there.

I picked this bad boy up a few months ago... paid a little more than scrap value for a running, driving, low mileage (116,000mi at the time) car. She aint perfect but in much better shape than my other Cavalier...

 

Anyway its a 1991 Chevy Cavalier S/W. It has a 3.1L V6 with 119,000 miles (Pretty low for the year). The interior was NASTY when I bought it, I tried my best to rehab it but to no avail, it just flat out needs to be replaced. The exterior has no bad dents, just a few dings here and there and some rust obviously. I paid a MASSIVE $350 for it. Had a full tank of gas when I bought it too

And here it is now. I've had to replace one of the seats with another one temporarily because it had a weird metal bracket drilled right through it and the adjustment lever was broken off
