Meh, it's function over looks for me, it's held on with cable ties so it breaks them instead of the bar if I get myself off the track or whatever. The gap isn't as bad as it looks though, you can't get your fingers up there, I think it's mostly shadow.

Not an actual pictures of mine, but I've got a 1984 Mazda GLC and 1966 International Scout. Neither are drivable either. The GLC is missing a windshield and has a smashed dash (don't ask) and parts happen to be nonexistant while the Scout is being made drivable as it hasn't actually been driven in about twenty years.

 

 

Similar to mine, except mine's orange and white instead of blue and white.

And my dad had a couple GLC's like that. He loved them.

That's a pretty good deal for a car like that, but I don't really like the focus. My friend has one and it just feels so cheap inside.

Yeah, it's an 800 (which is actually second gen), though it needs a bunch of work done before it can actually be driven regularly.

 

I love my GLC, yet despise it for being so absolutely obscure. I've never seen a vehicle which is harder to locate new parts for, and I'm in dire need of a whole new dashboard, because the last one was smashed to little bits (once again don't ask) and a couple of body parts.

I wouldn't say there's enough of a difference in an 80 and an 800 to call them different generations. Aside from a few little details and the addition of a V8 option, nothing's really all that different between the two. The basic body and frame are exactly the same.

 

The Scout II on the other hand, is a totally different truck, and what I'd consider the actual 2nd gen.

stretch, is your model the ST170? If so, I was looking at an '04 SVT which I'm pretty sure is our equivalent to yours..

I think his is a 1.8 TDI with ST170 wheels.

But mine came with it stock, only difference between mine and the st is the engine, steering rack, and colour coding.

 

But the ST170/SVT has a quick rack, so you're stuck doing u turns on smaller roads, not so much an issue in america.

 

The engine can sound a bit unrefined when warm and idling due to the way the shims are set up for the vct, and the cat heat shield is a rattly f*cker, some simple clips sort that out.

 

The 2 litre in it is just a zetec with an oil based variable cam timing system, so the major kick only comes with a warm engine, and there isn't much gains to be had out of it, replacing the cams negates the vct, forced induction is very hard, the top you'd get out of tuning is maybe 210hp,

 

Other than the engine stuff they handle like they're on rails for a fwd car, you rarely get any better than focus set up, the breadvan shape civic is the only real competitor in that age range because of the independant rear suspension.

Flipped end over end, hit the verge then rolled sideways onto its roof. Would have been OK but the bent post is what he hit that flipped the car up in the air by a huge way.

 

Luckily nobody was hurt

 

I don't like the facelift look persoanlly, although the premier Recaro seats are awesome. Sadly I didn't get change to swap them at the scene lol
