Just thought I'd post up a photo of my car before I put it up on the market.

That thing drove home?

yeah, but I was kind of shaken up from the whole accident so I didn't really pay attention, but it did not sound good. And I lost a lot of green liquid

Out of the 3 vehicles that I own(-ed), two at some point in time managed to leak that very same substance known as engine coolant. So yeah, radiator is bent/busted/leaking.

Next time don't show off and a hit a lamp post/someone's car and then speed away. Not cool.

Showing off? To who? The lonely 2am streets?

And 'speeding off' was a better alternative than going to jail. Considering how the next day I called my insurance company to let them know about the damage to my truck and to my fence, and that I went back to the place that I had hit and let them know that it was me and that it's covered under my insurance, I think I'll be fine.

Well at least you told your insurance, those people can be ruthless bastards if they suspect something. But I seriously doubt that you're in the clear, you'll have to deal with your insurance trying to cancel your policy or refusing to pay you anything. I know from experience that they'll do everything in their power not to pay, so watch out.

If it was an accident then the possibility of you going to jail would be non-existent. The mere fact that you sped away, means that you were doing something wrong beforehand that had led you to the predicament that you are in now.

Well anyway, ignore my moaning, it's good that you notified your insurance company. Hope things go your way.

I love this car. It costs less than most asshole BMWs that try to pass me on the right, yet goes faster, is more spacious, and has more features. Also more reliable.

The CVT is smooth as glass, it's awesome. Instant power and great fuel economy. Really smooth ride and good handling.

Exactly how many "asshole beamers" are going to feel threatened by a FWD, lazy, fat Nissan? Though the "faster" bit did make me giggle. Reminds me of the wankers you get round here who shoe-horn a 2.0 16v into a Nova and claim it'll have Evo FQ360's and Ferrari F355's.

Funny how I had my page moved over due to the large picture and I could still predict it was your screen-name next to this post. His post was pretty naive but your euro-fanboyness isn't required. He simply said it costs less than the BMW's he's thinking of, and if that is so, then yes an Altima Se-R is faster and probably does have more features and reliability. No one cares what people "shoe-horn" in your little village, ricers are everywhere, most of us got over it a long time ago. You seem stuck in the 90's which is why you can't seem to fathom Nissan being anything more than a people mover car company next to your godly bat-mobile Jesus' chariot producing BMW's and god-awful boring saloons of Audi.

...AAAAND here we go again. If anything, the 90's had more Japanese metal capable of keeping up with Euro machines. Back then, Evo's were properly brutal track beasts rather than the watered down later generations, Imprezas were light and interesting rather than lardy and owned by pikeys, the MR2 was still half decent, the Supra was still dyno queen and the Skyline was a proper everyday supercar, rather than a tarted up 350Z (R35) or a completely unusable budget road-rocket (GT-R). Save for the E36 M3 euro metal of the mid 90's was pretty tame; the B5 A4 was only good in S and RS4 spec, the E39 M5 came late in the decade, the bubble-headlight E-classes were notoriously unreliable, the early 996 911's were badly made, as were early Boxters. Nope, the 90's were when Japanese sports cars were at the top of their game; saloons not so much (I mean, who wants a mid-90's Primera, for example?). Nowadays, all that comes out of the orient are budget hatchbacks, US-style lazy muscle-sports cars, compromised and quirky sports GT's (like the RX-8 and S2000) the odd gem (MX-5 anyone?) and the GT-R, which is equal parts brilliant and stupid. Where have the interesting, fun, Japanese cars gone? The fast MR2's are long dead, there aren't any replacements for the 180SX/200SX, the Evo X looks like a Renault Laguna with a Halfords bodykit, there aren't any fast Jap hatchbacks (since things like the manic Starlet GT aren't popular anymore and the Civic Type R has got fat and tried to move upmarket)...yep, I still don't see very much going for the Japanese car market. Then you come onto the owners of the cars themselves. You can say what you want about all Audi/VW/Porsche/BMW owners being German fanbois but the simple fact of the matter is that they appeal to a large range of prospective customers. Then you look at Japanese cars- OK, the MX-5 is an exception, but that's basically an updated clone of an old Lotus anyway. Japanese saloons are principally owned by the kind of person who thinks classical music is "edgy" and chicken Korma is "a bit too spicy". 350Z's are, at least over here, almost entirely owned by balding, fat, mid-30's middle managers who drive at 60mph in school zones. The GT-R is mostly going to appeal to people who would buy a Porsche, but like boring everyone in the pub with their performance figures rather than actually getting out and driving the damn thing. The Impreza and Evo have become chav idols. The Civic Type R is equal parts mid-life-crisisers and spotty teenagers with rich parents; the standard Civic is almost entirely the elderly. In fact I am struggling to think of a single Japanese car besides the MX-5 I can't negatively stereotype the owners of. And that, gentlemen, is why it's easy to make snap judgements and complain about fanboi-ism even if you don't actually have a f*cking clue what your talking about.

Seriously Capo, shut the f*ck up, you wannabe-gangster pleb.

My 'fat lazy Nissan' only weighs 200 lbs more than a 330i but you can actually fit 5 adults in it

It cost $28k. 0-60 in 6.3. Leather, GPS, XM, power everything, memory seats, keyless entry, etc. Faster in a straight line than a 325 or 530.

Not fat or lazy. .85 cornering G's or something. The 330i does .87, whoop de doo. It also has a harsh ass ride and costs upwards of $40k.

Unless you're racing, I really don't see what advantage the BMW has.

Okay, okay, we get the point. Every car can be associated with a negative stereotype.

To conclude: I am a chav, Tuff is a douche, Demo is a redneck, Black-hawk is a cock, dog_day is a wannabe, Kitteh has no imagination, and .chris is...well...an innocent bystander.

Sometimes I wonder why we all spend our valuable time on the internet criticising each other's prized possessions, considering we are the very people who are supposed to have similar interests.

Anyway: I've always liked the Pulsar, especially the awesome tail lights...I've only ever seen one in Gran Turismo. Did you fix it up or was it a purely buy/sell affair?

The pulsar was in gran turismo? You have to be f*cking with me. It was the slowest car I've ever owned, granted I've only ever owned 250+bhp cars- it was the slowest car I've ever driven.

Only good thing about that car was the t-tops and reliability. It also handled amazing, and off the record, its a tank. For insurance reasons all I can say is it landed safely.

I had a lot of people come up to me when I was out in town with it because they hadn't seen one since they were in highschool (20 years ago).

That's the version I had, the hatch was interchangeable and removable. Still can't believe they took the time and effort to put it in GT4. That's insane.

Demo is a redneck

Demo is a redneck

You're calling me a redneck? I certainly f*cking hope not, because I couldn't be further from a redneck. I must be a redneck because I drive a truck. Yeah, nice assumption, retard. I don't know of any rednecks that drive trucks with 20" rims on street Pirelli tires (redneck: "Parelley? WHAZZAT!") and have so much chrome it could make you go blind. Leave it to a Brit to know what the f*ck a redneck is. Hit the nail on the head.

@ Black-hawk: Yes, I was doing something illegal at the time which is why I drove off! PLUS, my phone was disconnected.

@ TLC: I'm not in the Hoodz! sad.gif

-----

Appraiser came this morning. Looked at my truck for a few minutes and he couldn't come to a conclusion, so he had it towed to the dealer body shop. Frame damage, suspension damage, and the obvious body damage. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a total loss.

f*cked up beyond any repair?

Sh*t happens in life my friend, I too have destroyed a my (at the time) favorite car. In 2006 I bought Lancer EVO 9 MR, was a hell of a car then ran into a fence that had the strength equivalent of the great wall of China. It was totaled, I was sad, but lucky for me I had gap insurance and bought a 2003 RS6 after the Lancer was paid off. Favorite car now colgate.gif

I'm not too worried about paying off the truck. KBB has led me to believe that my truck is worth near $9k more than what I owe on it. I really want an F-150 Platinum!

Actually, the only thing I'm worried about is my truck not being totalled. I'll be royally f*cked, then!

I will have to take a gander at an F-150 Platinum. Are they the 2009's or the older gen?
