Looks mean. Not a fan of the scissor doors though, they never look good on 4-door cars when the rears open normally, though, if I'm honest, I don't really think they look good on anything. Just makes opening the door in low car parks difficult and expensive, and getting out extra tricky.

they definitely have their ups and downs

Pros:

1. Definitely get a LOT of attention in public

2. refer to #1

Cons:

1. Maintenance: grease fittings are difficult (but not impossible) to get to without taking the fenders off.

2. Installation: Kind of sickening to take a hammer, grinder, and sawz-all to a $45k car

3. Time: Don't plan on doing both doors in an afternoon. Unless you've done it before with the same car and same kit, plan on one door per day.

4. Alignment: re-setting door alignment (if you lost it like I did) is a B*TCH

5a. Monitoring: It's not a common door, people who aren't used to it will nearly snatch the door off your car trying to open it like a normal door.

5b. Monitoring: When you show/tell them or they figure it out, they try to slam it like a regular door without letting it go all the way down first.

5c. Monitoring: Also when they go to close it properly, they slam it in the "down position" as it bounces up and down from the force.

5d. You have to give anyone who is going to service your car a "crash course" on how to operate the door to try and prevent/lessen a-c

5e. Not trusting most people, you feel the need to constantly watch anyone servicing your car

I like the doors now that they're on, but I'll never do an install again... ever.

I said exactly that about heater matrixes after the one in my Corrado- 2 days spent dismantiling the dash, wiring loom and half of the engine. Many broken bolts, a broken thumb and lots of swearing.

Then, last week, my mate called me- "Heater matrix has gone, want to help me change it?"

He drives a Schimmel charged, haldex'd Corrado VR6.

Only took 11 hours this time, though.

Nice Talon: black roof FTW! I think there are a few Eclipses out there for GTA.

Almost forgot: I haven't done much since last time I posted, but I took some nicer pictures.

There'd better be some serious engine mods backing up that heowge exhaust. Otherwise it's going to sound like a ferret farting in a mud bath.

Plus, how big are those wheels?

Eesh, I can't imagine how bad the ride is confused.gif plus, brake to wheel ratio? Madness. Looks like a milk bottle top behind a dustbin lid.

Would your Volvo be considered as a local equivalent of a Camaro/Mustang/Challenger? Because you better score some ass with that ride.

More like a Biscayene or something like that. Has like 75 HP. Think i'll buy a tuned B20, though.

where I'm from, volvos are laughed at but I'm sure with that ride, you could score some tail with it.. or atleast a LOT of positive attention. That thing looks good and definitely has a LOT of potential. What year is that?

Good God, I had no clue they were that pricey. I knew they would of cost more I didn't think that much. They are pretty cars though. I am quite surprised how nice your looks too. Very clean.

Isonis I do like the MX6 collection, I kinda like those headlights on the second one. However, it looks like your holding out on the Audi in the background. Don't be holdin out on us now.

The CRX isn't a ricer at all. What made you think it's a ricer? It's a pretty good looking CRX.

Oh and I love Volvos. Illousion, I don't know how you can be Swedish and laugh at Volvo tounge.gif. They're really good cars.
