So, i'm quite enjoying the CLK. Its got loads of toys, it feels faster than the stats on paper. And as last car was a 400hp Jaguar, this doesnt feel slow compared to it. Its not a Z350 or a Boxster for sure, but it cost half of what one of them would have been going for. Top down cruising, nice soundtrack from the exhaust, it's feeling like a good car. Its going into the garage on Monday for its first proper "look over" as its getting some brake work and a new front wheel bearing, so fingers crossed for it.

I'm normally not a fan of black wheels on silver cars but on that Benz it looks really good. Maybe because they are OEM and because I am a purist. (No aftermarket crap for me)

Sold the RX330 with a blown head gasket. Here's the replacement.

Yeah, second BMW in a while. Can't beat that handling tbh, still love Lexuses but variety is the spice of life.

Dude that 3.0 is solid. Keep up on regular oil changes and maintenance and you should be good bro.

Thanks! Last oil change was on May and it only has about 70,000 km on the odo. I also definitely want to keep up with the cooling system though, after my RX I'm sorta paranoid.

All worries aside, the car is absolutely gorgeous (needs a good detail though). I'm definitely enjoying the handling too.

Lighting was my next project for this truck. Most interior and exterior lights were swapped with LEDs - adds a nice modern touch to something older.

after exactly 3 months of ownership and over 4000 kilometers with it, one road trip and every day driving through the city, i can honestly say that i love this car and that i am very impressed with it. over the years i've read and heard so much sh*t about it, but it really doesn't deserve it. i know that it comes from an era where peugeot went down the toilet with their cars but this really isn't one of those. it's reliable, it's fast, it's easy to work on, it's quite handsome and a nice car to be inside of. so far i've only done basic maintenance, but i'll be repairing the clutch disk soon since it's really gone bad, but what can i expect from a 17 year old, factory installed clutch? it also passed the inspection this year, now that there are totally new laws and regulations. first attempt, every button on the inside works and every door handle, and piece of lighting works. i was impressed with the braking results during the inspection. (3% deviation, 30% is allowed for the car to pass), and this is with factory front disks and old pads. i'm hoping for many more years and miles with this car

Make sure that with it being at age that the timing chain guides and the vanos have been gone through at least once. Not perse for replacing but if they are still good. Those plastic chain guides tend to brittle after age/usage. Also a transmission flush wouldn't hurt in the near future (100k miles)

It desperately needs 19/20 inch X5 rims or something similair.

clutch replacement was due, so we pulled the whole transmission out so we can replace the rods and bearings inside so it would stop making noises while in first and second gear (and occasionally missing the second gear when going from first), so tomorrow those should arrive and i'll get to put it back together, along with that i'm getting a new engine mount, after that it should run a lot nicer

I felt that the incandescent bulbs were kinda dated so I went ahead and swapped my interior lights to LEDs. A very minor change, but a welcome one nonetheless.

^The summer wheels look great. I know why you've chosen the M plate but there's actually something even better. Berlin plates like for example B-MW 330. 😉

Thanks but I actually didn't pick that plate, it came with a OEM plate mount that I found for sale on the local classifieds here (I'm in Canada). One of these days I'll properly mount it on the bumper & I may look into ordering a custom one for it.

I'm a Ford guy but I was sick of my Explorer, I had been wanting a Honda for quite some time as they're much more reliable and it currently fits my needs a bit more, so I got this 03 Pilot with 239k. Runs like new, just needs a new power steering pump. The Explorer needed a lot of work including a new radiator, tires, etc.. I just didn't have the time or patience for it. Obviously this Pilot isn't going to last me incredibly long, but it buys me some time to plan my next car. I have a few models at the top of my list, such as a new Bronco 2-door or the new Maverick pick-up.

Those are great SUVs, I had one on shortlist when I ended up buying my X5 but it had a failing transmission. Still a pretty peppy SUV and I would definitely consider one should the time come to get rid of the Beamer.

At 239k, it hopefully means your tranny is fine.

Here is my new car, a 2017 Ford Focus SE in Ruby Red Metallic. 15k miles on the clock. It wasn’t actually the car I went to see at the dealer, that one was a ‘15 Focus with way more features, but my lender was picky and wanted me in a newer model. I got her for 17.5k OTD, including a 5 year Ford PremiumCare extended warranty, which covers pretty much everything in and on the car. I am so happy with it so far, I’ll be taking her on a trip to visit family in PA tomorrow.

I'd thought I'd spend a nice Saturday morning getting my new to me car washed after a month of ownership, it's a 2004 V6 Automatic Mustang with 79k miles on the dashboard, one owner, all stock besides the aftermarket Pioneer radio from 2009 that only gives me Sirius XM previews and the mariachi station, I bought it for about 6500 off of Craigslist, not too bad considering the mileage and the pretty clean state of the car also.
