There's plenty of E30s here (hell, whenever I search for bimmers on craigslist, E30s are usually the majority), it's the Touring model specifically that is so rare. They were never officially imported to North America and they were manufactured in limited quantities to begin with.

So i mentioned this car in another topic, to be frank, it was cars that my parents drove, and so today i saw the old girl sitting there and took her for a spin and took a few snapshots.

Here is our third car which is now the 2nd which still sits out the front.

Our 97 Subaru Forester GX with only 132,000 km in 18 years.

My grandparents bought this beast in 97 when my pop wanted a new workhorse to the coalmine and for his drums when he played jazz and yeah ever since then, it has been apart of the family cars.

Normally I would be impressed by that mileage, but I'm pretty sure that has the engine that almost always requires new head gaskets at 100K miles (~161Km). That always turned me away from them, I never felt I could trust sellers on whether or not they had been replaced without paperwork.

You need to clean the inside of your car ;)

Stole these from the dealers website before he took them down.

Also Googled the E30 Touring and damn that thing's beautiful. Saw one on Gumtree ~10 miles from where I live for £1,175. Too bad it's automatic...

My first car is a '95 Polo, at ~140k km when bought. I got it for dirt cheap, but it was a wreck visually. The front passenger seat was replaced and rims resprayed.

I'm still in need of a mask and maybe respraying the hood with some clear lacquer since the old one is scratching off (ugly as hell), but we're getting there

My newest car! Also the newest car I've ever had. :3

1999 Toyota Corolla! (1.3 I think.)

I wish it was in a GTA. xD

That's the reason I don't let people borrow my vehicles.

Why? they suck that badly at driving?

At least one, yes. My point is I don't want to give somebody the opportunity to abuse my vehicle. But if you're okay with your friend treating your vehicle like garbage, then good for you.

Back on topic:

BTW, don't ever buy a Dodge/Chrysler with the 2.7L V6. Horrible motor. The Intrepid blew the head gasket, just the latest in a string of problems.

Oh boy, I know whats next for the Camaro..

http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ses-3480002550/overview/

Gonna make it haul ass.

I need to put some work into my grandfather's. I'm almost certain the timing is off, because my dad's Edge feels faster (and the Camaro is a 396), but it doesn't have a timing tab. The shocks are still bad too. And the battery is inexplicably completely un-chargeable after one year.

friendly luggage

Made a few changes lately. De chromed the front grill, bought a lightly used sportex system and got some springs for cheap. Not ideal but the car doesn't wallow about now and is quite fun to drive. Exhaust can loud inside when you're climbing or rolling in gear but is alright when cruising at a steady 60-70mph.

Damn, a CRX in that condition with no gaudy modifications would fetch several thousand dollars here, and it would sell instantly. Kudos.

Excellent condition K1FFL0M, I hope you keep it secure because that's a very valuable car in that state and they're very easy to hotwire.

My new Subaru Impreza WRX is amazing. Wish I could say the same for the photos I took. (Sh*tty phone pics inbound.)

The car has a nice balance of performance and practicality. It's great. I didn't do much with the car yet. Just a new windshield and an oil change. I plan on doing a wash, applying some wax to it, then making the interior a bit tidy soon. Afterwards, I'll decide on what rims I should get it.

I thank you all for the kind words and respect toward my little red CRX !

There was a reason for the late reply as I picked-up a 1984 (!!) CRX with my mate this week-end, it was a good 700-mile round trip and only just arrived back home. The condition of the car is comparable to mine, has only done around 70.000 miles (110.600 kms) and has the typical alloy-rims fitted: the one with the 4 holes, that resemble the 4 Valve openings per combustion chamber.

The condition is stunning and without any rust but it has been standing for over a year and reqires a little cleaning-up.

i will post the pics in the "cars of the 80s"-Topic once I've found some time.

Edit:

A couple of months back there was a facelift 2nd-Gen CRX up for sale here in Germany in dark grey-metallic and only 19.000 kms on the clock. The starting-price was 7.000 Euros but it eventually went for only 3.900 Euros.

You need to know that here in Germany the japanese cars don't have such a standing as in the States. And thats why the prices for the older Hondas are much, much lower than in the States. People over here tend to buy German cars, no matter how bad they are. The new-car warranties on German cars are generally 1-2 Years. All the asian imports are 3 years and over but still the people here buy German.

A German version of the CRX (like mine) was only available with one engine over here: the dohc 1,6 Litre with 124 catalyzed hp (the VTec was available here too, but Im counting it as a different model-line).

The spec-list was short too with metallic-paint being the only factory fitted option.

No electric windows, no ABS, no air-con, no nothing. The available colours were bland and dark too. You guys over the pond or in Japan had a more wider variety of bright colours and a choice of different engines too.

Got most of my winter prep done these past two weekends, all fluids checked, changed or topped off as needed, new air filter, paint decontamination & fresh wax and got a set of OEM winter floor mats. Just need to fix a bent control arm and a leaky tire and she should be good for some hooning whenever the snow flies!

Also here's a quick snap I took yesterday with my phone.
