Also, to any bird sh*tting on my car, I'll roast your ass in slow cooker!

Bought this 1989 BMW E30 318i. The engine, electrics, and interior are all in very good condition. No rust or structural issues, no rips or tears on the seats except for 3 small holes in the rear. All the buttons, switches, knobs, and dials work properly, it even has the original Blaupunkt stereo! The previous owner seemed like quite pedantic guy so everything was kept stock as possible. The only thing that needs sorting out is the exterior. The paint is pretty bad in some places and a lot of the chrome trim is looking quite weathered. In addition to the exterior, the cover which goes under the dashboard and steering wheel came off while the car was being cleaned and so all the wires were exposed. Got that fixed as soon as a strand of wires started dangling right in front of the clutch pedal. Didn't want to risk ripping anything out while changing gears. Power isn't great but sufficient. I've already ordered a bunch of parts so it should start looking a lot better over the coming months.

Yup! Those 18" wheels won't fit with the car being that low, it's back to stock height for now

Ah, I see. It looks better being higher, and those rims will look sweet on your car.

I really envy you. My dream is to own an E30 or an E34. The top would be the E30 Touring. Hnnnngh. :(

The local Gas Station's owners daughter had a red E30 touring, I think it might have been 2 years ago (2013)

When I talked to her a couple months ago, she told me she junked the car :( Imagine hearing a thing like that! :(

Another friend of mine also junked his E30 Sedan, just like the one you got Outcast.. Kinda sad how people jst don't give a f*ck about them :/

She scrapped an E30 Touring? Jesus, that's like killing a panda bear. As for you, Gouveia, if you're struggling that much to find a regular E30, you have a higher chance of winning the lottery than finding a Touring. I'm pretty sure there are less than 10 in North America, and I think they're incredibly rare even in Europe.

Wow, looking at the classifieds I didn't realise the E30 has appreciated so much. The last time I saw an E30 was when Wheeler Dealers picked up the estate for £900:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqqfgOmXEFE

Back then they so easily just said "Eh, just replace that part." but I get the feeling it's not so easy now. It's strange because the 3-series is always such a common car that it's hard to picture them becoming so rare after only 20 years. I suppose it ties into the consumption Pat was talking about earlier.

Even over here, E30s hold their value better than E23s/E28s/E32s/E34s/E36s. Over here, instead of most of them being lost to the junkyard, they're lost to boy racers who drive them into an early grave.

Went outside today to find my front wheel like this:

...so I went to put on the spare and it was flat as well:

So I decided to just put on the other set of wheels I had, and I realized I didn't have the right lug nuts lol :D

I'm gonna have to walk to Auto zone early in the morning to buy some lug nuts

I'm trying to figure out how your tire broke the bead if it just lost air overnight. I've had slow leaks several times, but it never did that. I keep a portable air compressor in my truck in case of slow leaks. So much easier than changing a tire.

But to stay on topic, my tailgate is fixed!:

I know. I kind of gave up on the Touring, even though I found one in Netherlands for, like €4000. Body seemed to be quite straight, but the engine was bad. I'm looking for a regular E30 now, and I'm looking to see if it's possible to fix it all up in the place where I buy it (Europe, Canada, USA), and then import it over here. Hope it works, or I just hope I move out of this country.

I've ordered a whole bunch of parts for the E30, already spent more on parts than what I paid for the car but damn it's going to look good. I'll probably start a build thread as soon as parts start arriving.

Thanks guys!

Quite sad realy..

But the E30 aren't to rare over here

On the major website used over here there where quite alot actually, maybe 20-30, mostly 316, 318, 320 ant Turbo converted cars..

There is one 325 4 door, owner wants 3,500 euro, 280,000km

one 323 Convertible, also for 3,500 euro, also 280,000km

Actually as I'm writing this I realize there is probobly more E30's then Volvo 740...

I'm kinda considering buying one, and put my Volvo's aside a bit... Would be bretty sad to let the all just go the crusher :/
