After a long night, I'm getting closer with the Blackline

 

 

 

 

 

New headlights, new grill, and new mounts for the grill. I had to pull out the grill so it and the mounts broke cause the hood-wire got jammed.

Also got some new plates on there

 

when I was gonna but new mounts on the left headlight I noticed that glass had a crack in it, så got a new head light by a guy I know. Now I only need to buy a new hood, there is one at the junkyard in wery good condition for like €80, so I will go and pick that up when I have time.

I also need a new fender for the right side which is kinda fu*ked.

 

 

Then it only comes down to the damn interior, finding the black plysch isn't realy the easiest thing, but I won't put anything else in the car so I will give it the time it need to be found!

Fun and games with the wagon today....

 

Tracing a parasitic drain after a flat battery last week. Took the most part of the afternoon, DMM inline with the battery and started pulling fuses, traced it to a central locking circuit and I think a faulty tailgate lock. Its one of those soft close things and wasn't really working well. Hopefully sorted, quite happy its not the stereo circuit that I suspected.

 

 

Also removed the instrument cluster to attack the "no dash lights" issue, I suspected a faulty dimmer switch (potentiometer) and I think I have it right having looked at the back of the gauges. Its a swivel dimmer that affects all the drivers instument lights, gear shifter, heater dials ect. Its clearly broken. Solder and refit, then if fubar, replace.

The E46 M3 shape is timeless. Far and away the nicest of the modern M cars.

 

It's my favourite too, and that engine really is fun to drive. The whole package feels great, I don't think I'll go back to a turbo engine anytime soon. If only the 997 GT3 would become a bit cheaper..

 

Just keeping it OEM, mileage is 70.000km now.

Sold my Challenger to my dad...

Pick up my new car Monday.

I can't wait to see this one transform into my vision.

It's sort of rare, there were only around 2,300 made in this color.

The Challenger is staying in the family and I can drive it whenever I please

Other than being a more rare color, it's a completely stock, run of the mill car (for now)

yeah it's cool that you'll still be able to be around the Dodge, instead of selling it to some random. does your dad live nearby? at this point in life I'm about 1,260 miles away from my parents.

but I've always enjoyed Dodge/Plymouth/Pontiac way more than Chevy/Ford/Shelby.
